Cleaning my floors......Help! Vent!

In our new house we have these hardwood-looking congoleum floors and no matter what they always look cloudy.

I've tried Mr. Clean & water, I've tried just water, I've tried Pledge Grab It, today I bought Pledge grab-it Vinegar wipes. They still look cloudy.

I have this same flooring in my kitchen, dining room, hallway, bathrooms and laundry room. It looks good in my laundry room. I think because I have a rug in there and haven't cleaned the floor very much.

I think the Pledge cleaner stuff is what's making them cloudy. Any suggestions on how to get that residue off?????? I'm so frustrated..................................

Here's some info I found on a Congoleum site

Because of the tough surface of Congoleum Laminate Flooring, dirt and common spills are easy to remove. Regular cleaning can be done by just vacuuming or dust mopping occasionally. Periodic damp mopping with water or Congoleum Bright 'N Easy Laminate Floor Cleaner may be required. Be careful though, not to saturate the floor with water. Do not use wax or polishes; they are not needed and they will not stick to the floor.
Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dirt and grit. Do not use a vacuum with a beater bar or brush because it may damage the floor's surface.
Wipe soiled areas with a moist cloth.
For regular cleaning and maintenance use Congoleum Bright 'N Easy Laminate Floor Cleaner with a soft cloth. Dry the areas with a clean cloth or towel.
Damp mop with water, Congoleum Bright 'N Easy Laminate Floor Cleaner, or other suitable laminate floor cleaner, but remember not to saturate the floor with water. Dry the area with a clean cloth or towel. Do not use other cleaners as they may leave a dull film on the floor and make the floor slippery.
Never use abrasives like steel wool, nylon scouring pads, and cleansers. These can damage the floor's surface.
Nail polish remover (acetone) can be used on difficult to remove stains and spills.


It doesn't say what to do if you get the dull film though...I'd call the manufacturere....
