cleaning engagement ring

Thanks for all your advice, i was nervous about buying some cheap cleaner because i did not want it to damage my ring. princess:

My sister uses Razzle Dazzle, she gave me a bottle but I haven't used it yet, as my rings are white gold and I'm abit scared I'll ruin them, I don't want to have them re coated yet.

As stated above, you should have your ring professionally checked once a year.

For in-between cleanings, I line a small bowl with aluminum foil and pour in some baking soda. I put my ring on top and pour in white vinegar. It bubbles up for a few seconds, and I leave it in the bowl for about a minute. Then I use a child-size toothbrush for a light scrubbing. It sparkles like new every time. :thumbsup2

I was going to post a thread like this a couple of days ago.. I have to get mine clean too. I am suppose to take my ring every 6 months.. The next time is April but I love when it is really sparkly...thanks gals

I use this jewelry cleaner I got at the county fair:

I love it! It smells like bananas...

The jewelry cleaner you get at the jewelers is just ammonia, that's why it smells awful. You can do it cheaply yourself. Buy ammonia at walmart or something, soak your ring in it, and use an old toothbrush to get off the grime.

I personally like my banana-smelling cleaner...

I bought this same cleaner at a bridal show. I love it. Mine also came with something to clean tarnish off the bands. My friend recommended it to me, and she's been using it for about 2 years now.
