Cleaner and/or toddler friendly bathrooms?

Hello! We’re taking my toddler for the first time since potty training (I am not expecting it to go well). I will use almost any bathroom anywhere, but I would prefer to take him to use ones that are relatively cleaner or at least cleaned more frequently. I’m looking for things along the lines of Main St City Hall level of cleanliness elsewhere across the parks, and I’m especially stumped if anything fits this bill in Future World. Any favorite spots in the parks? We will likely utilize the baby care centers for his little sister but can’t possibly do that for every potty trip.

I've been to WDW many, many times and I'm afraid that most are quite clean but not sterile. There are literally thousands of people in the parks on any given day and every single one of them will have to use a restroom at some point in their time in the parks. Disney does a real good job most of the time. The only one that comes to mind is in Epcot, near the location of what was once the Odyssey Restaurant. That one is not known by many and it always spotless. But probably not one that you could get to quickly in the event of a toddler emergency. Other than that one it is just kind of hit or miss with the rest of them. There are some disgusting people that go to theme parks and Disney does their best to keep ahead of the modern day Neanderthals.

There is no guarantee any bathroom anywhere is cleaner minus the baby centers, just depends on timing with when custodians were last there. I would carry some "clorox" wipes (they make small packs) with you in your bag so you can clean the seat for them. The usage is just so high - things can go south quick.

I suggest bringing post-it notes. You can disable the auto-flushing with post-it notes. My 4 your old grandson hated the auto-flushing toilets. Only a problem when he need to sit down for his business. Wish we would have had post-its with us.
In a pinch, just grab like 4 squares of TP, dip in toilet, and then stick it over the sensor!

I find most restrooms to be pretty clean. I did have a nice "secret" small restroom at Epcot that I used to like, but it is now gone. It was in the Communicore West building in that little cut-through area, and it didn't get a lot of traffic.

There is rarely a time when I enter a Disney bathroom when there isn't one (or more) cleaning staff doing their very best to keep up with the cleaning needs. There are many places I visit in my day-to-day life where I choose to avoid the bathrooms but at Disney, I go to the closest one.

I don't have any insight into this and generally the bathrooms have been decent enough for me but my first thought was if there are any bathrooms that get less traffic than the others in Future World? Gut first feeling would be the Imagination building.

That's the one I thought of also, way over to the right of the entrance. Another one, although it's outside the park, is on the way to the buses when you leave Epcot. Or the one outside the International Gateway Exit, but only by about 15 steps to the right.

They’re all the same “level” of cleanliness- which at Disney is better than anyplace else. The only exception is Germany in the afternoon and even then it could have been one offs I encountered but I avoid it in the afternoon if I can. It seems to have a rough go of it if it’s a busy day, maybe because it’s a bit of a magnet for the drinkers.

In EP - the one over by the Figment ride is lightly used. At MK - the ones by POTC are usually in good shape. In AK - the ones by the exit to the Nemo show, and at HS - the only one I have ever seen messy is the one by the Beauty and the Beast show. Otherwise, it is really about how well Disney is keeping up - that day at that time in that location. I think that I have never been in a couple of them without a cast member cleaning at the same time. They try to keep them clean!

Every public restroom is only as clean as the people who went in before you. That's just the truth. I always carry disinfectant wipe and hope for the best. It doesn't matter how much they clean them, if the clientele has decided on unsanitary practices, there you are.... I applaud the OP for continuing with potty training even in new surroundings. That's being consistent and setting good expectations for the future. Yea, you!

Thanks, pals! As a life-long parks goer and DVC member, I realize that a theme park bathroom will never be truly sanitary, but it’s true Disney does better than most! I especially appreciate the tips on “less traveled” bathrooms and the post-it’s to cover the sensors. I’m sure my toddler would be so enthralled by that he’d forget why we were in there in the first place 🤣

I think those Imagination restrooms must be less travelled - I didn't even realize they existed!

I didn’t either, WDW actually has a map of all of the bathrooms in each park so I sifted through it to see if I could find one I wasn’t aware of and was in a less busy area. Apologies to the Figment fans but this one fit the bill.

Maybe the restrooms themselves are only imaginary - you must believe that they are there!

The one tucked in behind Figment is a good replacement. Even during F&W it never seems to have a long line.
