Hi. My daughter and I are going to WDW for our 5th annual mother-daughter trip. We have the Grand Floridian booked however, we fly in very late the first night so I wanted to book a different resort for that night to save money. It will literally be just for sleeping. We were thinking of the Coronado or Caribbean Beach since we have never stayed at either. Looking for recommendations for an affordable less expensive resort on property. Thanks!

Stay at the GF....such a hassle to change resorts....get settled...and relax......to me...the $200 is worth it to reduce the hassle of the move.
We don't mind switching. We've done it before. We are spending a lot because we got concierge level and I don't want to spend that much for a night that will be nothing but sleep.

POP is booked! All Star Sports and Movie are both available and the cheapest option. Followed by CSR. I am super picky about cleanliness and have a hard time sleeping in a dirty, old or rundown room. How are the Allstars? Has CSR been updated recently? Thanks

I always choose the cheapest option, last time it was a room at All Star Movies before our Yacht club stay. That said, I don't equate a run down room with not being clean so you may want to stick to a newly renovated room (besides POP not sure which other are most recent) or just stay at GF so that you know that you won't have an issue.

We were at All Starts Sports last week for two night before switching over to Dolphin and it was good. Our room was very clean and we had no problems. For one night just to sleep, I'd go with whatever value was less.

Since you're flying, you could consider spending the night at the airport Hyatt. It's inside MCO. For Magical Express you just give Disney a flight that will be arriving at approximately the time you think you will want to head over to the GF. Only (very small) disadvantage is that you'd have to transport your bags yourself.

I was ready to book POP but it isn't available. If we choose CSR, we'll save over $300 and All Star will save us close to $400. I've always liked the look of CSR but worried the rooms may not be great.

We've had several great stays at CSR. The rooms are fine. They are in the process of refurbishing as well so you could get a new room.

Though, I would save the $100 and stay at an All Star.

Good idea! We travel light and do a carry on anyway so not a problem with the bags!

I had the same thing for our trip in June. We are staying for 6 nights at the Polynesian but I wanted a cheaper room for our day of drive down. Usually we get up at 4 am and drive down and make it by about noon. Any how, because of the parking fees I looked at offsite but wanted something in Bonnet Creek or Disney Springs. Oddly I found that with the PIN code that we had at the time Coronado or CBR was going to be cheapest for us when comparing all the rates + parking fees + resort fees. I know we probably could have waited and got something at Wyndham Grand for cheaper but I wanted to get everything booked and start making plans.

So at the time our choices were CSR or CBR and I waffled back and forth so long and something at POP also started showing up under the PIN code(preferred rooms only so I don't think 80's would have been an option). Then for some reason while planning one night(planning is half the fun right?) I checked the pricing using our AP discount and the prices for CSR, and CBR got even better while Pop wasn't available. In the end we decided on CBR because

1. Cheapest
2. On our drive down day we really are only there to relax, hit the pool and then take a bus to Disney Springs. This resorts seems to be the best option for all 3.
3. As CBR will soon have Non-bus transportation to two parks I thought it would be good to check out the resort for future budget trips
4. The kids and wife like the look of the pool and the resort and have no interest in CSR at all(personally CSR would have been my choice due to the main pool). We visited CSR on a bus layover from Disney Springs and no one was impressed(except me apparently)
5. CSR and CBR are both on our list for "never stayed at" so either way i get to cross one more off the list.

This was my thought, at first, too, but then $260+ for the Hyatt vs. $120 (all stars) to $150 (Pop) for a value.

I wouldn't pay to stay at CSR if you are just sleeping there.
