Driving to FL from Delaware on I-95 - I need a clean hotel room in Georgia - any suggestions? Not too cheap, not over the top expensive.

We like to stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels. They are clean, indoor corridors and not expensive.

We always stay at Embassy Suites at the Savannah/Gateway South exit. I think its Exit 194. It is right off I-95 and there are several hotels right there. It makes getting on and off the highway a dream.

I believe with a AAA discount it was 89.00 a night. Very clean and a great breakfast in the a.m.

Check out Microtel Inn Hotels. I never stayed in one in Georgia, but we stopped in NC both ways last year. Both were less than 70 a night. I know there are some along the 95 corridor in GA since we had hopped to get that far last year before we adjusted our trip. They offer a quick breakfast...good for grabbing and hitting the road:)

I can't remember where we stayed in Georgia but we usually do Red Roof's (newly renovated), Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn's.

Now that I think about it the hotels we have done in Georgia have always been pretty shady ... nevermind!

Kingsland GA is where we always stop there is a brand new Hampton Inn (exit 3) (and a Micotel + lots of choices) :goodvibes
It's only about a 3 hour drive from WDW we like arriving refreshed :thumbsup2

We have stopped in Darien, GA at the Comfort Inn. It was clean, right off I-95 and offers a breakfast. It is nothing fancy but does the job for a quick stop.

We like Hampton Inn and have stayed at the one in Savannah. They have hot options at the breakfast now and a good breakfast is worth a lot when traveling!

We stayed at Hampton Inn in Brunswick, GA. The rooms were very clean, it had an indoor pool, and I think to upgrade to a suite was only $10 more.

It also has a free breakfast in the morning and just about 3 hours to get to WDW from the hotel.

hampton is also good to give you a free upgrade at check in if they have it. Of course if you NEED a suit, book and pay but if it is just a nice extra, ask nicely at check-in and they might say yes!

I have stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Savannah (exit 94) and the Holiday Inn & Suites in Brunswick (exit 36 I think). The HI was very nice w/ inoor pool. The RR was clean enough and comfortable, nothing fancy.

I had never (until our last trip) ever thought to stay at Microtel. Well last trip because of exhaustion and cranky kids we pulled over and boy were we wowed!! It was clean and safe and well priced.

Exit 94 in Savannah has a lot of options on the east side of the interstate. Many new hotels have been built there in the last few years. For Brunswick, I would go to exit 38 instead of 36. 38 has the newer hotels (and the mall!!) and 36 has the older ones, however, Cracker Barrel and IHOP are at 36 and are about 32 miles from my house!! ;)
