please give me feed back on which hotel you have experienced close to Disneyland that is actually clean!!

If not on Disney property .... Where do you stay?

I'm so done with booking a room that had great reviews, getting there and it turns out to be disgusting!

We like to walk to the park so I prefer to be close (10-15 minute walk). My biggest concern is clean!!! I want to feel like I can spread my things around or actually walk on the carpet without feeling like it's too dirty to touch! TIA

Not sure which hotels you have stayed at in the past. I am a Marriott girl myself, I normally stay at the Fairfield on Harbor and have always found the rooms clean. But I will be staying at the brand new Courtyard on Harbor and would imagine that would be the cleanest available. It just opened a few months ago.

I stay at Motel 6 Main Gate, its the first drop off from the park on ART, on Disney Way. I have seen people walking back so its really not that far. No issues , never had any problems staying there and I will stay there again in 2016

Every hotel I have stayed at near Disneyland has always been clean...Hojo's, Tropicana, Fairfield Inn, Park Vue Inn, Ramada Maingate, Anahiem Plaza, Candy Cane, Motel 6 Maingate, Desert Inn and all three Disney hotels!

At pretty much all of them the only 'dirty' thing were carpets but I always wear slippers or my shoes at a hotel, even the Disney hotels!

Can I ask where you stayed that wasn't clean?

I've stayed at stovalls, super 8, del sol, Americas best value inn, we own Worldmark so we've done that a lot but I enjoy walking to Disneyland and Worldmark requires so many points that I would rather use them for other locations. I think we've stayed at Fairfield inn before ..... It must have been nice because I don't remember. I'm a little gun shy as I know some of the properties across the street from the main gate can be gross.

Any feedback on Howard Johnsons?

Super 8, Americas best value, deal sol and the last time at stovalls ... Not so good?!
We stay on property in Disneyworld using our Worldmark so we get a bit spoiled! Paying $680 for a room per night in DL seems a bit crazy! I would rather spend our $$ on in park food, souvenirs & other Disney things. We only use our room for sleeping & showering but still it's important for me that it's clean!

@lifesgr8 honestly if you only use your room for sleeping and showering, you really should check out Motel 6 Main Gate. Its really near the park, huge rooms with lots of space, CLEAN and very affordable. I dont see the point in spending over $100 a night for a hotel room when I spend over 14 hours a day in the parks!

Sorry, I haven't stayed at the Hojos. I know it is pretty popular, though. I usually stay on site or at a Marriott. I am pretty picky, lol.

I dislike rooms with bedspreads, I find them gross. I much prefer the bedding at Mariotts that are changed between guests. I like clean carpets, too. The Fairfield is an older property, and the bathroom is tiny, but it is clean and close for walking purposes. I am very excited to have the new Courtyard next door, as it has much more space and is only a little bit further to walk. I would love the option of a full service Mariott within walking distance...maybe someday!

All of the hotels and motels we've stayed at around DLR have been clean.

I personally like a place without carpet. Many rooms at Anabella, some rooms at Carousel I believe, and Motel 6 have wood or laminate floors. No carpet is easier to clean and makes me feel better overall.

We stay at Hojo and Candy Cane Inn all the time. Both are very clean. In fact, we just stayed at CCI and our room had a laminate floor.

I haven't stayed yet, but the new Marriott and Holiday Inn Express should be clean as they are brand new. The Marriott is pretty pricy if you aren't taking advantage of the waterpark, though.

I know what you mean about dirty floors- many years ago we stayed at a Best Western by DL (I don't think it even exists anymore) and walking across the carpet from shower to bed my feet were black. I understand a little stained, but that's just filthy!!!

It's been many years since I have stayed offsite. But, I can vouch for the DLH and the GCH. Both are very nice, clean hotels. I have not stayed at Paradise Pier yet.

$680 per night? Well, I guess some rooms at the GCH could be that high. But, a standard room at DLH is more like $480 on a peak night such as Christmas Eve/Christmas. I know that's still too much for many, but it's definitely not $680. The rooms themselves are better at DLH compared to GCH anyway.

I searched on Disney.com. 4 adults & 2 kids it was $680 per night. (For everyone to have a bed) On hotels.com a standard room with 2 beds at paradise pier was $278. (Plus $17 parking per night) I am an annual pass holder & Disney Visa card customer. Are there better rates than what I'm seeing online? We are going in early February. (Not the holidays) discounts are not posted online yet.

Only suites accommodate 6 people at DL hotels, so you would be better off looking for 2 rooms. PPH hotels in Feb would likely be ~260/nt for AP holders for a standard view room before tax, which would still be cheaper than 680/nt for 1 suite. The suites might come with concierge though, I'm not sure.

Personally, we are going to try out the new Homewood Suites opening next to the Toy Story lot, it looks amazing and has suites for ~150/nt. We then will take the bus from the Toy Story lot into Disney. It is within walking distance too, but a longer walk. They have full hot breakfast and hot dinner on Mon-Thurs nights as well. It opens Nov 1, I think.

Hotel Indigo on Katella has hardwood floors. Redone a few years ago from a Holiday Inn to a boutique hotel- owned by the same company. Small, clean and friendly.

Candy Cane Inn you have to book through their website or call them. It's clean and comfortable, but I would say HoJos is even more so.

We usually stay at the Worldmark too,, they have another property on Harbor called Dolphins Cove.. we stayed there two years ago,, it was a good hotel.. not as new as the worldmark , but just as clean.. they also do regular hotel so you don't need to be an owner to stay there..
