CLE- Cleveland OH airport questions

I am thinking of changing my SWA flight (I'll get 6000 points back into my account) to an earlier flight but it'll get me into CLE three hours earlier than my ride. Is there someplace I can hang out comfortably at CLE? Is there wifi in the terminal? Should I leave my suitcase at baggage claim or is there someplace in that area where I can sit with my suitcases? Thanks for any help... I know it sounds silly but we are "hoarding" our SWA points for a family trip to California!

You can take the RTA rapid train in to the big city and look around. The cost for the all day ticket is $5. and takes 30 - 35 minutes to get to Tower City stop. Here you will get off and exit into a building that houses some shops and places to eat. You will know you have reached Tower City because the train will go underground and make a stop. Its the only underground stop the train makes. Its not a fantastic place but it gives you some where to kill time. The HardRock Cafe is located in this building along with several other dinning places.

With the $5 all day pass you can transfer to the "water front line" from Tower City and it will take you to the Rock n Roll hall of fame. Ask one of the RTA agents how to get to that train. There are always several RTA agents standing around to help you out.

The Rock Hall is just a short 5 minute walk from the water front train. If you did not want to go to the Rock Hall you can take a nice walk along the waterfront. You can tour the gift shop at the Rock Hall without paying to get in. They have a cafe you can get a bit to eat at.

Just beware that between 3:30 and 6:00 p.m the train back to the airport can get crowded and become standing room only because of rush hour. When going back to the airport make sure to get on the train marked "airport"

There is wifi at the airport.
I would take your luggage with you.

If you dont want to take the train you could go Sheraton Hotel and get a bit to eat. The hotel is connected to the airport by a walk way. Ask at the info desk for directions.
