Let's see, where to start.

Ruben, Clay and Trenyce were all amazing!!!!!!!!!!

I still like Kimberly C, she has spunk, but I don't think she's good enough to win. Same with Rickey. Kimberly L. was great tonight, I like her too.

I usually like Corey, but I thought he stunk tonight! And don't get me started on Julia, yuck!!! Bottom three, Julia, Carmen and it's a toss up between Charles and Corey. I say Corey, but I know he seems to be a crowd favorite.

Josh has always sounded country, and he even said the first time he sang in the final 32 that he really wanted to sing a country song.

I still love listening to Kelly Clarkson, and I like her. But, I told dh she looked like she had been styled by Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks, what was with those boots and that eye shadow????????

First, Kelly Clarkston needs a new stylist and make-up artist! Now with that aside, my thoughts on a few last night.

Ruben: love the Aladdin song! I was trying to sing a duet with him during the performance. He's going to be in the top three at least.

Clay: What can I say about him, he's just plain amazing week after week! He's my choice for going all the way.

Trenyce : When I heard she was doing a Whitney Houston song I was reserved but then she opened her mouth and WOW!

Carmen: I think she is a cute girl but young, inexperienced and not a strong and powerful voice.

Bottom three for me...Corey, Julia, and Charles.

I finally agree with something Simon said when he made the comment on the Dixie Chick's! Cracked me up!!

I have new found respect for Rueben and Trenyce after last night. They both were terrific, the best of the lot, at least last night.

Clay is wonderful, and I also love Kimberly C.

Julia has a wonderful voice, but not much stage presence as noted elsewhere in this thread.

Corey and Charles are nowhere in the league of the other competitors, imo. Either one has to be the next to go.

I love Ruben and Clay. They should definitely be the top 2. I honestly don't think any of the women are that good this year, and don't compare to Kelly. Actually, I think the top 4 or 5 should be men. The next ones to go.....Julia (for singing AND personality), Corey, Kimberly ( the one who sang last).

Rickey I think did really well last night, and Carmen got better, but still not good enough.

I also loved Ruben singing A Whole New World. So many movies out there, and some of these people chose some crappy songs. Also, wouldn't Clay have a wonderful 'Disney' voice, for some soundtracks, or shows in the parks?

This isn't directly related but I just wanted to say I thought Gladys Knight looked so pretty last night. I like her.

The GUYS are overwhelmingly better than the girls in this group! It was a very entertaining show.

Corey - I just don't get it. His voice is so shaky. Not strong. He annoys me. I think he should be in the bottom three, but I'm sure he has the teenage girl vote though.

Ruben - AMAZING! When you hear him sing, how can Corey even stand on the same stage? The Velvet Teddy Bear! I think that will stick.

Trenyce - She is very talented. I didn't think she did as well last night as she has the past couple of weeks. I'm not really a fan of hers, but there's no denying that she is the most talented female of the group.

Clay -

AWESOME!!! This guy is so smooth, so calm. He's my overall pick. I just love him.

Kimberly - I liked Simon's comment that "you could hear that same performance in any theme park anywhere in the country." I think that was accurate. Not her best night, but she definitely has the "look."

Josh - I think this guy will get a recording contract, even if he doesn't win this competition. Someone asked when he became a country singer. That has been his natural style since the very first audition. Tough to use that natural style with a theme like Motown (last week), but he sure pulled off that Aerosmith song with a Garth Brooks flair. I LIKE him a lot!

Carmen - Her voice just bugs me. I can't get past it. She DOES sound a little bit like that Dixie Chicks girl and I really liked Simon's comment about her replacing her.

Charles - Again, I just don't get it. Like Corey, he just can't compete vocally with the others on the stage. And WHAT was that horrible song from "The Wiz?" Yuck!

Rickey - Such a neat guy. He did well. I think they'll keep him around.

Julia - YUCK! She seems to have lost ALL confidence. (At least she didn't do the Brady Bunch dance this week though.) If there's any fairness in the world, she will be the one voted off.

Kimberly - Very nice. She definitely redeemed herself from last week's performance. I think she's beautiful too. I liked that Gladys Knight told her she was "classy."

Clay and Reuben are the indeed standouts in the competition. Everyone else stands WAY behind.

I didn't like the way Josh sang last night, mostly because I don't like country music. I can understand the question Simon asked because CONSISTENCY is very important to a promoter. And he DID change his style. This is a problem to someone promoting a performer, a big problem.

I liked Trenyce last night, though I still don't like her look. She seems a bit diva Diana Ross-ish.. something I never preferred.

Kimberly Locke looked and sounded beautiful. I agree, she redeemed herself.

Julia's a goner.

Charles, I never got.

Corey, I think the judges just LIKE him.

Carmen, my second goner.

Kimberly C, she has been my least favorite the whole time. I remember someone asking if this was due to "pretty prejudice". Well, not on my part. In my world, Kimberly Locke is the utmost of beauty, Kimberly C is not. I do understand "pp" because I was a victim of it most of my young life. I never understood it. I don't like her because she is so cocky, without merit IMHO.

Ricky is adorable, but not my top choice.

The bottom three should be Carmen, Julia and Charles. We'll see.

And YES, Gladys DID look amazing!! That woman was making records when I was a kid, so she looks GREAT!

I thought last night most everyone did a good job but there are really two levels of performers in this group. It will be pretty easy to eliminate the first 5-6 or so but then it is going to get a lot harder.

Corey - I have never liked him or his voice. I didn't like his performance last night and I would put him in my bottom 3 but I don't think he will be in that group because he has the teenager girl vote.

Rueben - OK I will say it again - I just don't get what is so special about this guy. I thought last night was one of his better performances (and we all know I liked the choice of song ) but I just don't understand why everyone thinks he is one of the ones to beat. He could be eliminated tonight and I really would not miss him. The whole'205' representin' thing is getting on my nerves as well. I feel the same way about Rueben that I felt about Justin from last season - I just never got it.

Trenyce - She did well last night and I think she will probably be the last female standing if she continues this way but I have to agree with the others that there are several guys that will make it further than any of the girls.

Clay - My favorite. He was fantastic tonight and he is my pick to win it all. What else can I say?

Kimberly - I thought Simon's comments about Kimberly were dead on. It was a fun performance and I enjoyed it but she is just not at the level that several others in the competition are. She has the look and I think that will give her a few extra weeks but I don't think she will make it past the top 5.

Josh - I really like him but I don't know how far a country singer can go in this competition. He has a nice voice but it sure was country last night.

Carmen - I thought this was the best performance I have seen her give but she just does not have the talent to compete with several of the others. I am continually suprised that Simon never seems to say anything bad about her - I wonder if he just doesn't want to make it look like he made a mistake in picking her? I think she will be in the bottom 3 tonight but will get to stay another week.

Charles - I thought this was a weak performance from one of the weaker performers. I know the judges like him but I just don't think he has anything special. I think he will be in the bottom 3 tonight but will get to stay at least another 2 weeks.

Rickey - Nice guy who gave a decent performance. I never really quite know where to place him in this group. I think I really need to see a few more performances before I judge how I feel about his chances.

Julia - BAD! I think she will be the one to go. She did not do a good job last night and she knows it. I think the shock of being in the bottom 2 last week has really gotten to her and it showed.

Kimberly L. - I think she did a great job this week. She looked great and sounded amazing. I think her and Tryncye are the women to beat but once again I think some of the guys will go futher.

I agree with everything YOU said, we think a lot alike. Josh-this is the point I was trying to make, he CHANGED his whole VOICE!!! I Agree with Simon on that one too. Can Hardly wait for tonights show! And yes, Gladys looked AWESOME!!! I have been listening to her FOREVER!! I think Simon has a "secret crush" on Carmen myself. WHY else would she still be there?

Ruben's my favorite. He has been from the start. He has a smooth voice like Luther Vandross. I also like Trenyce. It was gutsy to choose a Whitney Houston song (at first, I thought she was crazy), but she well with it. I like Clay, but he seems more "Broadway" to me. I don't like his style - it's kind of corny. but he's definitely a gifted singer.

I still don't like Kimberly Caldwell. I agreed with Simon 100% - she strikes me as a theme park or dinner theater performer. she's adequate, but too contrived. I don't think Julia is good at all; she's out of her league up there.

I liked Ricky; he's got a cool voice. The rest are "meh," I don't care one way or another about them.

He was wonderful last night--has to be the top vote getter again this evening! LOVED it.

I have to say I now "get" the Ruben revolt. He showed me something last night--didn't see it before, but he was also quite good (not as good as Clay though ).

Corey was AWFUL--didn't like him at all and if I was asked the bottom 3--it would be Corey, Charles, and a toss up for 3rd between Carmen/Julia.

Of course, it's just my opinion--I could be wrong!

Didn't I spot Julia doing the Brady bunch dance again last night?! I think the cameras cut from it pretty quick but I think my husband and I both spotted it! She's gotta' go and I think she knows it.

I thought Corey was terrible last night! I also thought it was great when Simon told Kimberly (blonde) that her performace could be found in any themepark or something to that effect. I could do without Julia and I think Carmen is good, but Hopelessly Devoted was a bad choice for her. I don't think she'll be around too long. I'd like to see Corey, Charles, Julia and Kimberly Caldwell off because I don't think they are that good.

I was disappointed in Joshua last night -- too Country-sounding. I almost expected him to sing "I Don't Want To Miss A THANG".

I think the men are far better than the women this time around!! I would bet that the next American Idol will be a guy. I LOVE Clay and Ruben!!! I get goosebumps when I hear them sing. Trenyce I think is the best out of the girls. Bottom 3 this week: Carmen, Julia and Charles (although I think he sang better than Corey). Ricky is so cute and sweet. I hope he goes far. My dd 7 LOVES Kimberly Caldwell!!! I can't wait until tonight. I really hope Julia goes!!!

My favorites were Clay and then a toss-up between Trenyce and Kimberly L. Clay is my absolute favorite, and I hope he wins the whole thing. Trenyce really nailed it last night, even with something as difficult as a Whitney Houston song. Kimberly L. looked so elegant and once again got to show her vocal talent. I think she has a lot more to offer if she stays in the show for a few more weeks. I'm thinking that Julia, Carmen, or Charles will be kicked off this week.

My two favorites are Clay and Ruben. Rickey really surprised me last night so I voted for him too.

I think that Julia is still rattled from being in the bottom two last week. It's a toss-up between her and Carmen as to who will be given the boot this week. (I have never, ever figured out why Simon picked Carmen.)

Simon was dead-on with his theme park comments towards Kimberly L. Does anyone remember the footage that they showed of her performing in Branson? As I remember the story, she gave it up when she was 15 years old.

I don't get it with her. Other than that she's pretty, I don't think that she has anywhere near the vocal range of the others.

It should have been Julia that left last week instead of Vanessa. I really wanted to see her stay in a little while longer.

I wonder who will be the guest judge next week if they really are singing to disco music.

Reuben, Clay and Joshua were excellent. Even though I'm not a country music fan, Joshua gave me goosebumps. I agree that he probably won't win here but he will get a recording contract. He's got a great pop country voice. He's done great in every song so far but obviously his heart is on country. DD, 16, who is a big pop star, thought he was terrific as well. He certainly can belt out a tune.

My personal vote goes for Clay. So far he's been able to pull off every style. The freckles and long eyelashes and elfish look are really charming.

The girls just don't do it for me this time. It's going to be a hard decision in the end.
