clay was on good morning america and live with regis and kelly today.....jeff gordon was the cohost with kelly today, lots of eye candy today....clay sang his new song on gma and he sang (bridge over trouble water) on live...said he did see the card ryan seacrest was holding and looked at ruben the whole time so he could be the first one to see his expression...wants to make a movie with ruben ..... i personally think he got robbed...june 10th is the release day for his single....

Wow, he DID see the card? I did notice how he was looking at Ruben when it was read. What a nice and humble guy. I know he will be a major success in everything he does.

I was a HUGE Clay fan and I heard that he saw the winner on the card before Ryan announced it. Wasn't sure if it was a rumor or not. He seems like such a sweet guy.

Yep, Clay said on Larry King Live last week that he saw the card. He said he didn't SEE the name, just that it was a long name, and 'Clay Aiken' isn't as long as 'Ruben Studdard'.

I was able to catch Clay on both GMA & Regis. He was very humble and endearing. His singing wasn't bad either!

Curiously enough, the ladies on "The View" indicated that he had been invited to appear with them, but declined. Ruben was on earlier in the week (just caught him coming onto the stage and didn't watch), in fact the same day he made the rounds. I don't think he sang on The View though? I wonder what was up with Clay's refusal to appear?

Starr Jones said today that she had never received such nasty hate mail as after AI and the Ruben win. It was racist, etc., etc. . . Starr was very vocal about Ruben while a couple of the others liked Clay better. . .Guess I don't see why the refusal OR the need of The View to even mention that he declined to visit. As a Clay fan, it would have been a triple hit to see him all morning long!

I don't know why the View chose to mention it, but.... Clay is OWNED by 19 Entertainment. Have you seen Kelly's contract from last year? If this year's is the same (and I'm betting it is), Clay doesn't choose what shows he appears on or when. He goes where 19 tells him to. He does what 19 tells him to. So does Ruben. So does Kelly.

The whole thing with Clay on The View started because Meredith read an email they recieved that said if they (The View) did not have Clay on the show then they were prejudice (for just having Ruben). So they said that they also invited Clay on, but he declined. I guess they had to defend themselves and that was why it was brought up.

I think Ruben sang a little acapella (sp) for Star while he was sitting at the table. I turned the channel when they started asking him to sing so I missed it.

Clay has said in a few interviews that the single will be Bridge Over Troubled Water and This is the night! I can't wait to hear the full version of Bridge over Troubled Water. He is recording BOTW now for quick release on June 10.

on the wings of love is on the ai cd, maybe thats why they changed it..doesnt matter what song it would be , he sings them all great! maybe they should put all 3, as a bonus...cant wait untill september when the full cd is due out.

Being a Clay Aiken fan like all of you (I think he definitely should have won), I found this web site dedicated to him. It has almost all of the video clips of his performances on AI in addition to where he may appear next, etc. Hope you enjoy it, I know I was listening to all the clips for about an hour. LOL!

Have you seen Clay on any of his interviews? He is extremely professional and articulate. He conducts himself with the manner becoming a role model.

Sorry, Ruben has a nice voice, but in my opinion limited. And I've grown tired of listening to his interviews of "Yo, dawg" and "I'm so Tired", and "well ya know". This guy needs to grow up and learn to speak and come across like the role model he is supposed to be.

Clay has shown nothing but class throughout this whole competition!! He is thrilled for Ruben and has expressed that many times in many interviews. These two young men have shown grace under fire and comments like the one above do nothing but create animosity.They will both do well in the recording industry with their different styles of performing.
I wish Ruben and Clay the best in their careers and refuse to listen to any hostile **** that people seem to need to express.
