My sister called this morning and asked if I would like to go to his concert in September. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.

Has anyone gone to see him in concert? What did you think about it? What kind of ticket prices am I looking at?

The last concert I went to was back in the late 70's to see either Emerson, Lake and Palmer or Yes. I can't remember which one.

I saw him back in April with Kelly Clarkson and have tickets to see him in August. My 1st set of tickets were about $50ish (give or take) and that seems to be the norm for the concerts I have gone to (4 so far this year). The tickets for August are at our Ohio State Fair so they were only $30 with fees.

As for how he is in concert... EXCELLENT!!!! He came on stage after Kelly Clarkson and the opening act performed and he really got the crowd going. He sings current songs as well as some older favorites (think Jon Secada style). His voice is just as good as he is on CD and he really is very personable and works with the crowd. Truthfully out of the 4 concerts I have been to this year, I haven't been disappointed at all, but he was definitely a notch above most. He and Josh Groban are the only repeats for me this year.

So go and have fun!!!! I hope you get good seats :)

i'm going to see him in *see my countdown*!!!

i "heard" one of his concerts...my friend was there and had killer seats next to the stage...so she called me and held up her cell phone for the whole show! :) he sounded amazing...

go!! i don't think you'll be disappointed!

Wow! Lucky you! I hear is tickets sell pretty fast!

Be sure to let us know how the show was!

This makes me real excited about going! My sister has called me twice today about the concert already. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at noon.

As far as the crowds go, is there a lot of screaming going on? Or does it quiet down during the songs?

My friend and I have seen him in concert 3 times, he is great. I am going to try to make at least one of the upcoming concerts. I am a HUGE Clay fan. There is alot of screaming, but it dies down a bit when he sings.

I am trying to get my daughter to go with me in August, but she thinks I'm silly.

Do a lot of 45 year old overweight woman attend?

There are tons of women of all shapes and sizes. I loved the concerts, he makes everyone feel special.

You had to bring it up, did you? I couldn't get tickets to see him, so I hope you do. The two venues I could've gone to sold out within 20 minutes, so I wish you lots of luck. As for prices, I think it depends how big the venue is and what "kind" it is - arena, theater, etc. I wanted Foxwoods tickets (it's like 4,000 seats and sold out in about 20 minutes) and they were $85 and $110. The Atlantic City shows (two shows at 1,100 seats each, sold out within 7 minutes) were $75 for "general admission" - no assigned seats. Just for your notes, those tickets are now on eBay and have sold for upwards of $900. Several sets of them. So I guess I don't get to see my boyfriend.

:sad1:

Anyhoo, good luck to you, and, from what I've heard, it's a GREAT show to attend. As for me...I'm gonna have to brave the Claymates and literally sleep out for a free show in September. Unless the pixie dust kicks in and I can conjure (is that spelled right?) up some tickets next month....

Shhhhh.....;)

But yes, that's the plan as of now. I wish I could go to NH, but, unfortunately, we're down in South Western CT -- it's a pretty good drive to MA, nevermind NH.

Are you going as well? As much as I want to see him, I really am dreading the Claymates. Free show? I'm gonna have to get there early to get a spot where I want to be (*coughTOUCHINGDISTANCEcough*) and that means I'll have to brave the really crazy people. I mean, I'm sure there'll be nice people there too, but I've had so much experience with these kinds of concerts. There's so much pushing and eye rolling and people competing for who is the bigger fan. I get annoyed really easily.

Oh, by the way Kirby - congrats on the tickets!!

Kirby- If the singer in the 70s show had a really high voice and there were more than three people on stage, it was Yes. ELP had only three people and the singer was more baritone(Greg Lake). :D

What's the matter, Lewski?

Did you eat a bit of undercooked chicken today? You've really gotta be more careful...never eat it if it's pink!!
