Claustrophobic in aquaduck?

Has anyone ever felt too claustrophobic to ride the aquaduck or do you feel like it is a pretty big tube?

No never feel that on the ride. Large tube, mostly in the clear, goes very fast, just a bit enclosed through the funnel. As you see outside most of the time, it feels bigger than it is, and your interested in that.

The AquaDuck or the AquaDunk? The duck is on the Dream and Fantasy and you ride in a tube. The Dunk is on the Magic and is a body slide.

I've never been on any of them because I always chicken out just before getting on the Dunk. I don't like the idea of the ground dropping out from under me. I think it's possible to feel claustrophobic when they shut the door after you enter but once the floor drops out you don't have much time to think of it from what my friends have said.

No problem! I just wanted to make sure because I feel like one is far more claustrophobic than the other.

I suffer from claustrophobia...for some reason it got worse over the past couple of years. I rode the aquaduck last year (after previously riding it with no problem) and felt OK initially, and then during the slower parts of the ride felt more nervous, it was rather warm inside the tunnel and that really exacerbates things. The width of the tube is OK but mixed with the warm air made it a little tough. I rode it twice on behalf of my kids and then I had enough. My dad on the other hand, who won't step foot in an elevator, wouldn't go near it...

The slide is very large, you are sitting in an inflatable tube that seats 2 people and there is plenty of room to spare. Like @disneyfantasy said above a lot of it is a clear tube and to clarify something he said about it going fast, the slide itself is not a fast moving slide but the duration of the slide is pretty quick, you're not on it for more than 2 minutes.

Yes, is over fast, flow of water after first drop, and the extra " drop and water push" is slower like a raft ride.

I recently began having claustrophobia issues and this was very rough for me. My husband went first and thought it would be ok for me so we tried it. I shouldn't have. It goes slowly at a certain point and I just wanted it over with. I won't do it again.

I am not claustrophobic in general, but enclosed water slides make me almost hyperventilate. Anyway, I was perfectly fine on aquaduck. The tube itself is huge and there were two ( I think) openings for fresh air!

My tolerance for small spaces has increased over the years, and on water rides I generally do not have a problem. However, I did on the AquaDuck. The first bit was fine - the going down in the raft, around, then into the water push and up into the bit that takes you around. My panic set in when it hit the slow part in the clear section as you are heading towards the end, that really freaked me out. I'm not sure if seeing exactly where I was and how far I had to go was a good thing or a bad thing. I also found that as I came around the last corner into the bit where you get off, that area slowed me down even further, so that last section felt even more claustrophobia. Having said all that, I will probably still attempt it once more when we cruise to see if it has improved or not. At least I know when and where I might start to panic, so can focus on not panicking

The clear plastic makes it seem very open. What made me feel nervous is noticing how high up you are. But the ride is over quickly so it's manageable.

If you can tolerate the tiny DCL showers you'll be fine in the Aquaduck. My issue with claustrophobia is in things like small, dark elevators. I did fine in the Duck.

My wife is somewhat affected by claustrophobia and after a couple of tries has decided that the Aqueduck is not for her. Yes, the glass tube somewhat alleviates the closed in feeling but there is a section of the ride that goes through a dark tunnel that is what puts her off.

I do not like heights or small spaces and would not ride the Aqua duck on Fantasy on out first cruise. Was braver on second and got on and am so glad I did. It was very fun and I did not get that trapped feeling at all.

I have ridden it several times and I sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic. One time, I nearly got stuck towards the end and had a bit of a mild panic attack. Nothing serious, but it wasn't a very good feeling. Now Injun Joe's cave at Tom Sawyer Island, I hate that place!

I suffer from it. It got to me at the beginning but then I calmed myself down. I know its mind over matter so I handled it pretty well. I'll probably go on it again just to beat my fears.
