I know the classic annual pass can be used for the 2nd and 3rd day after purchase. Here's my question, what if those 2 days are blocked out? Do the two days after purchase have to be eligible park days?

I think if you are staying onsite then the block out days don't matter but if you are offsite then no you can't use it if those days are blocked for that type of pass

I would think the two block out days would count but I can't say for sure. You're probably better off emailing Disney just to make sure.

With the classic ( formerly francillian) the 2 days following purchase are non contractual days. Not block out. So no matter where you stay the cannot be used to enter the park at all.

yes, this is correct, so if you want to buy the Classic AP and use it as soon as you get to DLP, buy it in advance through the post from DLP themselves. This way you get your permanent laminated activated Classic AP before you arrive at DLP, therefore the first 3 days of the pass have already passed by the time you use it for park entry.
