I thought I would post a new posting so everyone does not have to read thru tons of entries from the original post.

Yes, it was my fault that I lost these tickets & I would have DROPPED it immediately if I hadn't talked with a Customer Service supervisor at Connections who told me that their Customer Relations dept. did track these tickets. I had her repeat herself 3 times & got her name & operator no. When I talked with the Customer Relations supervisor she said that they DO NOT track these tickets. I told her that I spoke with the other supervisor & she said they did. She said they had no record of me talking with such & such. I said that's because I called from a different phone no. & did not give them my name. I said that I was looking to puchase tickets & wondered if they had a tracking mechanism in place to track their tickets.

At that point, the Cust. Rel. supervisor said "well, the supervisor must have given you the wrong information." It threw up a red flag to me that said maybe someone is not telling me the truth. And that is why I decided to pursue it further. OK, maybe she did give me the wrong info, but in all honesty, it made me wonder.

Also, Disney has asked me to please return the tickets if I find them & I will do that in a heartbeat!

I'm sorry I posted this here and got everyone so upset. But if Disney has a Ticket Research Department, I'm sure I'm not the only person in this world who has lost tickets & am very grateful to Disney for replacing them and have a learned a great lesson.

i didnt read too much of the other thread so i dont really know what this is about but {{HIGS}} to you. you sound like you got flamed for something you shouldnt have. sorry you felt the need to justify your actions. to me you just sounded happy that you were not out all that money! and i would be glad too!!

Hey, don't worry about it! I'm glad you got your tickets replaced. Don't worry about the ankle biters, just add them to your ignore list and go on....that's what I do!LOL Have a great trip!

I've read the entire 'other' thread on this topic. I don't think anyone has flamed treloarf.

I think that everyone is very glad that treloarf received replacement passes from Disney. I don't think anyone wants her to be upset and I'm sure that other people have lost passes before. My child dropped his standing not more than ten feet from the turnstiles. Luckily, we noticed it and grabbed it right away. (Now, the kids get their tickets as they go through the machines and they are expected to hand them over immediately after.) We all lose things.

I think most people are upset that she is implying that Connections is to blame somewhere along the line. Should Connections keep the 'numbers' of the tickets they sell? I guess that's between them and Disney. I hope that Connections does not stop selling passes.

I'm sure that treloarf does not want to ruin things for those that want to do business with Connections. I'm glad she shared her story because it is a cautionary tale for the rest of us and hopefully, we'll all be more careful because of it.

As for the squabbling over on the 'other' thread -well, it is a discussion board and people are discussing. I wouldn't take it personally. You made a mistake, we all do, and you got lucky. Thank the powers that be.

That's a good way to deal with people who don't agree with you, just ignore them and they'll go away.

As for the Connections not keeping track of EVERY SINGLE ticket that they sell, Disney doesn't either, maybe we should get the BBB involved.

Or better yet, let's sue them!!

Karel,
glad she shared her story because it is a cautionary tale for the rest of us
Controversy aside, I am glad she shared her story, too, because I have learned a lot from this thread. I didn’t know that you could recover a lost pass if you had the ticket number. It seems like a good idea to write down the ticket number and keep it in a safe place as well. (I have heard of people who have on-line access while they are on vacation send themselves an email with the traveler's check numbers--perhaps that would be a good step for park passes, too?)
I don’t know how many people know you should also keep your receipt in the case where your multi-day park hopper is added onto your resort hotel room key. The last time we did this, the CM who processed our transaction told me to keep my receipt with the transaction number on it. The reason for this is in case there are days left over to be used on anther vacation. The ticket could become accidentally de-magnetized. If you have the transaction number, it could be looked up in the computer and be recovered.

I'm glad Disney helped you out.
You ordered $1,000 worth of tickets and hundreds of dollars of meal vouchers. You kept and used the items. However you cancelled your Connections membership because you didn't think it had enough value. I can understand Connections not wanting to spend any time attempting to research your problem since you received your order and at that time of your problem YOU WERE A FORMER CUSTOMER. We have no idea if Connections could have located your numbers or how much work it would have taken Connections to research it. You're really not being fair to Connections.

I think everything was covered in the other thread. This is now closed.
