Hi - can I just double check as I have read a couple of threads and I think I have possibly misunderstood (I am new to the DDP so that is highly likely!!:lmao:)

We will be travelling with our two young children (they will be 3 and 6) - Do we have to order 2 x adult and 2 x children meals at CS restaurants??:confused3

I seem to think I have read about people just using 3 x CD credits and getting 3 x adult meals to split between them?? (But conversely I thought I had also read that the system knows you haven't got 3 adults so won't let you do that in one go??)

Hope I am making myself clear - I'm just not sure we will always want 4 x desserts etc and thought we could save a couple of CS credits and then add then to snack credits for breakfast??:confused3:thumbsup2

I'm not trying to cheat the system, rather just trying to understand what is and isn't acceptable!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks for any info!!:lovestruc

No, the max you can order at one time is 2 adult and 2 kids. You can order less and split.

thanks kimberle!!:thumbsup2 I know that the receipts don't show a adult/kid allocation split on the receipts - but does the system seperate them?? (Just wondered whether on the last day we could just order 2 adult meals and share them and then later on order another two adult meals to share?? - or if the system would show that we only had two kids meals left to order??):confused3

I think I now understand the system having read other postings!!!:lmao:

I didn't mean to make it sound like I was trying to cheat the system - was just concerned about the volume of food at each meal!!:scared1::rotfl:

I don't know how anyone copes on the deluxe plan !!- I think we might struggle to eat all the snacks etc on the normal one!!:rotfl:

The rules of Walt Disney World is that credits for which you paid a child's price must be used to order from a children's menu where one exists. Any discussion of possible ways to use children's credits to buy adult meals is not permitted on the DIS.

If you're talking about a location that has no children's menu you can buy 4 regular meals at once. But there are very few CS left with no children's menu.

thanks for pointing that out - I am a lot clearer on how it works now and have no intention of rule breaking, I just hadn't really thought it through properly!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

If you are worried about dessert the kids meal CS desserts are not really desserts as you would think.

A kids counter service meal is really an entree, 2 sides from the list and a drink.

HTH

Often you can get grapes at CS meals for kids. We just tuck them away for a snack later.

that does help thank you!!:thumbsup2 I don't want them having too many desserts - especially if they end up with ice creams etc from the snack credits!!

thats a great idea :thumbsup2- I was worried that we were either going to have to forego some of the food (which then feels like wasting money) or take it and then not be able to eat it (which then feels like wasting food!!) :lmao:- but if there are these sort of items that we can easily save until later in the day, then that it great!!

Please note that using credits for which you paid a child's price to buy adult meals anywhere that has a children's menu is against the clearly stated rules of the Disney Dining Plan. Discussion of spending credits in ways that violate that rule on the restaurant board will be deleted.
