Clarification on Cancelling A Trip

We want to cancel a trip that we booked for February of 2021. We have never cancelled a trip before and don't want to call as I assume they are very busy with everything going on. Just wanted assurance that if we cancel the February trip online, we should get all of those points back, correct? Thanks.
 
They will be returned to your account in the same status as they were used,

So, banked points will still be banked points, and any borrowed points will remain borrowed.

Current UY points would still be bankable, as long as you are in your banking window.

You can also use the chat function if it's available. The chat agent from my experience functions essentially the same as a phone agent, but when you are waiting for one to be available, you can surf the web or check emails without holding up a phone or putting speaker on.
