Clarification on being "in the system"

Greetings all,

We have not closed on our contract yet, but tomorrow our credit card will be charged the full balance of our contract. When we initiated the process, and gave our guide a down payment last Tuesday, he assured us that by the end of the day we would be "in the system" and able to make reservations. Our intent was to call first thing tomorrow morning (Monday) and make those reservations - but now I'm concerned that we won't be "in the system" and able to make reservations.

Can anyone clarify this process? Does the timing of your being entered into "the system" depend upon your guide? Could he have been blowing smoke up our proverbial behinds? I'm confused - and am praying that I will be able to make a reservation tomorrow.

Since you mention guide this would be direct purchase from Disney; that entire purchase amount needs to be charged / paid and then shortly after the new member is in the system & MS will check availability / set up a reservation that you may want ( this should be within the hour of charge posting to your credit card , may take a little bit longer but I would be very surprised if it was not well before the end of the day ).

I could be mistaken but I am not aware of getting in the system with only a deposit being in place. If the guide's statement was you would be in the system on date credit card is charged for remaining balance then that barring unusual situation will be the case.

We purchased thursday of last week and paid the deposit on our Credit Card. We have not even signed the paperwork and I just booked AKV For next august using our points.

We, too, paid our deposit on our credit card last week. I will keep my fingers crossed that when I call tomorrow they will recognize me.

You have likely been "in the system" since last Tuesday. With direct purchases, once the deposit has been paid you are "in the system" and able to make reservations.

I'd call tomorrow and they can look you up using your SSN since you don't yet have a membership number.
