Clam Chowder

Just got back from Florida on Thursday and and fancy making some Clam Chowder from my new recipe book 'Cooking with Mickey'.

Could anybody tell me what wieght is a Stick of Butter? I have the cups for measuring but I have no idea what a stick of butter is.

I had clam chowder served in a bread bowl in the Columbia Harbour House in the MK and it was delicious - aahhh precious memories
