Clam Bake at Beach Club?

There are lots of threads with lots of opinions.
Basic thought was that if you come from a coastal area that has really good seafood, you will be disappointed. But if you are land-locked and do not regularly "fresh" seafood, it is fine.

I love it! Has a little bit of everything. Make sure to try the oreo bon bons.

I love Cape May and go there quite often. The food is very good. The lines to get around the buffet are a little confusing as they sometimes seem to move in multiple directions. The seafood is okay, but not the highlight of the buffet for me.

We ate there the first week of August. Food was good, something for everyone, even the non seafood eaters in the family. We will go back.

Not to be the voice of doom and gloom, but I thought it was awful. It's just a buffet, with many seafood items you could get just about anywhere. Much of the food that was supposed to be heated was not heated well, and much of it tasted stale.

My experiences were three different times when we stayed at Beach Club in 2004.

Maybe it has improved since then, but we won't be back there. I would just feel like I'm throwing good money after bad.

Very very good food and a ton of it to choose from. There are many threads about this place, do a search and you will get a lot of info.

THere is a separate dessert bar and the food is set up in a big square. When we were there in Feb it was confusing as to where the line started and ended. When we went back in April they have each side of the square with an enter and exit line.

Headed there in less than 2 weeks!

We have two Cape May Breakfasts planned... as we are staying at the BC on the Dulx Dining plan... and I have been thinking of adding a Dinner there too to give it a try... but with some others we want to try havent put it on the list YET!!!

Thanks Everyone! I appreciate the info and thoughts, and I'll check out the other threads too!! :goodvibes

We stayed at BCR a few years ago. We had breakfast once and dinner TWICE at Cape May. (Very unusual for us.) We thought it was that good taste-wise and value-wise.

The characters at the breakfast were very attentive and fun.

We just ate there Tuesday night & the food was fantastic & this is coming from people who live on the river (East Coast of Florida) and have fresh seafood quite often. The set up of the buffet itself was a bit confusing, until you got a hang of the flow around the four sides. DH loved the seafood, I thoroughly enjoyed the american cuisine. Desserts were fantastic!! Would do it again for sure!! :)
