CL Available at Check In?

Was thinking about maybe seeing if CL is available at checkin. Anyone know what the average cost would be to do something like this? We are in a Room Only ressie with 30% off. Trying to decide if not going for the Entennemen's donuts in the room and giving CL a try might be cost effective. We don't love Disney food and have only one dinner reservation at Blue Zoo. Counter service and F&W snacks for us. But would def put a hurting on the CL is we could get it.

The bump in cost would be substantial as you would lose your 30% off discount. Your best bet would be to see if there are any Club Level rooms available now with the 30% discount.

Thank a lot! Looks like about $700. I'm not sure. Never thought to do CL and not sure we would be in the resort enough to take advantage. But then again, the morning spread as well as the night time stuff may make it a bargain. Ugh. Making myself crazy crunching numbers.

We did CL once and it was just not for us. The morning spread really does not have much as far as real breakfast food. We were very disappointed with pastries/bagels/muffins/cereal/hard boiled eggs and lunch meat as our breakfast options. Then in the evening, by the time we got back from the parks the Hors d’oeuvres had ended (I think its 7PM) and all they had was deserts The big savings is if you like beer or wine but we may only have an occasional drink once in awhile. Definitely chack the menu and times so that you know you will use it for as much as they are charging.

I think if you opt up at checkin, just for food, you miss out. The CL help with FP+, ADRs and other bookings is a great perk. While the ADR element doesn't seem relevant to you, I don't see the food being a big thing either, since the continental breakfast is just what it is, and the other food is Disney food.

Same for us, but we were upgraded and we already had ADR's for our meals so really the only thing we got out of it was a quieter floor, added security, and about four bottles of beer per day. Was nice to get the beer for free when I expected to be buying them, but I don't think CL fits our travel style. We like to eat good meals for Lunch and Dinner and we are not breakfast people.

Like I said in a thread before, I wonder if that is why we were upgraded? If they looked at our ADR's they probably knew the two of us wouldn't cost them much in the lounge.

For a ballpark figure, CL adds about $100 per day to your reservation.

It is very nice and convenient. We do not eat huge meals and prefer our main meal to be lunch, so it works well for us.

Is it worth it? Dollar wise, no. Convenience wise, yes.

For a family of 5 with 3 kids older than 10 - CL is absolutely worth it $ wise. For 2 people or a family of 4 with little kids, the math probably doesn't work.
We eat breakfast in the lounge, spend the AM in the parks, get a snack in the lounge before hitting the pool for the afternoon, get appetizers before heading out to dinner and even make it back sometimes for dessert and cordials. If we were open to close park touring people it probably wouldn't work out math wise for us either!

We usually stay club and I don't do it because it makes more sense financially. I like it because I have a young child and she is a grazer. So if we go out for meals, she rarely eats enough and then is hungry as soon as we get back to the room. I love the customer service element - the staff are fantastic and go out of their way to make sure your stay is wonderful. We also tend to spend a lot of time enjoying the resorts since we visit frequently - and the club level is a nice way to do that. My daughter will sit and enjoy cartoons while we have a drink or two after a day at the parks. We also can grab easy snacks by the pool.

But I can tell you that if we didn't spend a lot of time at the resort, I probably wouldn't find it valuable. Also, I could see it be financially worthwhile if you have a family of 5. We are only 3... so not a huge financial benefit.

Oh, they would have given me more, I just had other Bar's and Restaurants to visit.

Yes, if there are more than two people in the room, it becomes a better value.

I think I'm confused because you said you don't like Disney TS food. I assume you don't like TS as you said you would be eating QS (which I think is pretty awful myself, but we love TS meals)
The food at the CL lounge is Disney food. Usually offerings from the chef at the main TS restaurant at that Resort. So I'd guess if you don't like the food at the restaurant you aren't going to care for the food at CL either.

We love CL and stay there when we can. But we typically really use the food options, breakfast every day, several adult beverages (we store them in the room fridge) and make a point to be at the Resort for evening options at least every other day (usually coincides with break time for us)
