We are booked at WL in November, and because we have a pin code and recetly reading about CL at WL, I wanted to get some advice or thoughts from anyone who has stayed CL at WL. We would probably not do a DP if we opted for CL and would probably cut back on eating out. I guess my questions are how is it, is it worthy the extra price, and is the complimentary food enough to supplement for some meals? I sincerely appreciate any thoughts or opinions - this will be our first time at WL.

We are going over the same thing. We stayed CL a few years ago but also had the dining plan. I think lots of people would say the CL is not meant to be a full meal, but they do offer a lot of food! There was certainly enough at CL for breakfast and sometimes the appetizer offerings were enough to fill me up, but there were nights where the CL appetizers were not for me (I don't eat red meat) so I found the dining plan helpful.

We're thinking of doing the dining plan again next year bc we'll have our little one and will want to go to a few of the character meals, which the cost of the day's dining plan nearly covers the buffet cost.

If we didn't have DS I would probably not do the dining plan and just see what we needed/wanted in terms of dinners. But I would make ADRs just in case you are hungry.

We literally just got back from a 10 night stay WL CL. (as in landed 1.5 hrs ago).
We thought it was absolutely FABULOUS!! The CL CM's were so friendly and helpful...I'm going to be putting together a trip report but we really can't say enough about it and honestly no one in my family now wants to stay anywhere else!!

We had DDP along with the CL, and really, what you get out of CL depends on your touring habits. We often slept late and barely missed breakfast...breakfast is assorted cereals, yogurts, muffins, croissants and bagels. It was certainly fine for us, but we are not big breakfast eaters. For midday snacks, your looking a cookies, goldfish crackers, trail mix, homemade chips and dip, and gummy bears....honestly, if you eat enough of it, you'll be full, but a well-balanced meal it does not make. We were often at the parks when the appetizers came out, but when we were there, we had chicken wings, venison chili (which I tried and actually liked!!) scallops wrapped in bacon, BBQ chicken skewers...all on various nights. The nights that we did eat there, we felt quite full afterwards...and DH enjoyed being able to grab a beer whenever. :goodvibes

Again, we had an amazing time and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Marie, we absolutely ADORED it!! My DH even said one of our days that he was just going to call a moving truck and have all of our stuff sent down there permanently...:rotfl2:

I'm going to get all of my pics (and thoughts) together for a trip report...we just landed about 2 hours ago (were only 15 mins from the airport), so it's off to bed I go very soon!

Thank you. Too, what are some of the additional benefits or percs with CL besides the food and lounge?

They'll make all of your advanced reservations for you, but I actually enjoy doing that part on my own -- I love the planning!

I can't recommend The Old Faithful Club enough! The resort, lounge, CMs, management are amazing.

We usually eat breakfast in the lounge and then have a late afternoon ADR, go back to the resort for appetizers and dessert. We don't always do this, we like a hot breakfast now and then and a Signature restaurant in the evening. We don't do the DDP, but instead use Tables in Wonderland since we have APs.

When you book CL at WL, you'll know that your room will be located on the top floor and there will be concierges available on that floor to assist you all day. The CMs go out of their way to help guests and make their stay magical. You'll also get automatic turn-down service every evening, pre-arrival planning, a welcome gift and robes in your room.

To help answer more of your questions, you might want to take a look at the first page of the WL thread that's hyperlinked in my signature. There is a section just on WL/CL. I also have my latest WL/CL review hyperlinked in my signature. There are lots of pictures in both threads. Hope to see you over on the WL thread sometime!

I looked at the info on the Wilderness Lodge but was wondering what are your chances of getting bunkbeds on Club Level - I really want to stay there but I need bunk beds.

Bunk beds are treated as a request and are not guaranteed. That being said....the WL room assignor will do their best to meet your requests. We requested bunk beds, and we got them...along with our other requests.

Thanks so much for answering - I will request bunk beds then. It is going to make me and the kids happy. I get CL and they (hopefully) will get bunk beds. May bring the blow up bed just in case though.

We loved WL CL!!!! The food offerings are great and the CMs are awesome :thumbsup2. The food offerings are not meant to replace meals, but with that said, if you are a light eater, you can probably get full on what is there. The breakfast offerings make for a great quick breakfast before heading out, but if you prefer more of a meal at dinner, the appetizers will just tied you over until dinner rather than substitute for a meal. I would highly recommend CL if it's an option. Have a great trip.....the WL is an awesome resort and CL just makes it that much better :wizard:.

We go to Disney quite often and will say that WL CL was our favorite trip! We booked a table service lunch each day and by day 3 even stopped doing that... Breakfast was perfect size, we were usually at the parks for lunch and that would fill us up enough that the appetizers were fine for dinner. We loved getting back to the hotel around 9 and enjoying drinks on the balcony. I really like the way the dining area went around the lobby instead of being confined in a room.
