We will be staying at POR and I need to ck in online 24 hrs for flight. We will be at MK that day at 1:30. Can I go to one of the closer resorts and have them check us in and print out passes? Do they ask if you are staying at that resort? I would hate that we would have to go all the way back to the POR to do this.We also have ADR'S at 3 for CP that day. Can you tell I am nervous about this? :sad2: I have never bought my tickets online before. Just don't want to mess things up! If anyone can it would be me! ;)

What airline?

I've read some people have asked the concierge at the hotel to do it, and left their flight #'s/etc. But, then you are at the mercy of the concierge remembering to do it at the 24 hour mark (you can do it later, but if you are on an airline without reserved seating, that puts you at a disadvantage). If you are on a reserved seating airline, you can have the hotel do it for you when you get back from the parks that evening. You can check in no-earlier than 24 hours, but it can be anywhere within that 24 hour mark.

I'm flying Southwest and have web browsing on my phone. According to their website, I can check in from my cell phone using the phone's web browser. I have the site for that bookmarked on my cell phone, and I have my flight info printed on my little laminated travel card for the day before my flight home (we printed ADR's, hotel ph#, important info type stuff and laminated it). I then set my cell phone to go off at the 24 hour mark so I remember to check in. Maybe a bit overkill, but I am flying Southwest and hate to be in boarding group B or C - the chance of not getting to sit next to my 6 and 7 year old sons does not appeal to me (and probably not to those stuck sitting around them either :rotfl2: ). At least I know I will be checked in with boarding group A, and have control over making sure that happens.

We also will be flying on Southwest.Hopefully things will workout. It's my friends first time flying so she is really nervous about it.

I think if you wait until you get back to your own resort, you'll probably be fine. I know with the other airlines they only do the full check-in during certain hours. For the most part, even when I've checked in online just a few hours ahead of my flight, I think I've gotten group A every time. You could also try guest services at the park maybe.

Utimately though, it has been my experience that nearly every other passenger on the plane will want you to sit your your 6 year old child as well. I can't imagine any parent would be that insensitive. For the most part, even if you are in goup B or C you'll still be able to find a seat together. Maybe towards the back of the plane, but together. If for some strange reason you do end up being one of the very last people to board, tell the flight attendant at the head of the plane, and they will tell the staff at the back of the plane that you need to sit with your child, and they will save you two seats together. If that fails, someone on the plane will most likely trade seats so that you can sit together. Nobody wants to be on a flight with a screaming child. In an emergency, I think the airline would be liable if you couldn't put an oxygen mask on your child because you weren't sitting next to him/her.

I always print my boarding passes the night before, sometimes even the day of a flight and have always gotten Group A. I would check with guest services at POR and see if they would be willing to do it for you, but I would definitely call and remind them.

There is a business center at the Contemporary where you can use their computers and print out a boarding pass. They may charge you a small fee to use the computer and/or for the printout. We did this last year so that we could check in to our SouthWest flight EXACTLY 24hrs before the flight. We were at the MK that day, took the monorail over to the Comtempory, checked in/printed out our boarding passes, and then just took the monorail back to the MK. It worked out great.

I did this last February at the ASmo. The front desk checked me in the night before my flight, so you should not have any problem at all.

:grouphug: :grouphug: Thank you all soooo much for your answer's. I feel more assuerd now that things will go better. I am such a worry wort!! What would I do without this board I'll never know. :lovestruc

Can you have someone at home check you in? I did this on my last SW trip and it worked out fine. Just print the boarding pass when you get to the airport.

I didn't know that all I had to do was ck. in online and then I could print my boarding passes later. When I ck. in online the day before we start our trip do I ck. in one time? There will be 2 of us. Do I ck. in twice? Once with my name and once with my friends name? I hope this isn't too confusing! thank's for being so helpful.

You can just check in once if you're both on the same ressie and it will automatically print both boarding passes. If you have 2 confirmation #'s for your returning flight, then you will have to enter each # in separately.

  Thank You ...Thank you soooo much. I have been so worried about this. You guy's are the best!
