Just so you don't feel too much pressure ... you can always just bring blank pieces of paper in the proper sizes and figure the layout out later. I haven't ever brought pictures to the classes themselves because I a) can't plan that far in advance and b) you never know if the pictures you bring will work with the paper they have chosen.

Knowing this will help take the pressure off a bit. (Of course, DD has been cropping her photos for days now and has all 30+ of hers all set - the little show-off!) I better get moving and try to catch up, but it's nice to know there's a "Plan B"...

The coupons were a joke - only 8 of them, one of them isn't even for the convention, it's for a store, and one for the vendor faire which we're obviously going to already.

And as for coupons, I guess I was surprised (due to my lack of experience) that they sent out coupons at all, so I didn't know they weren't as good as past years'... oh well. I am considering the two chicks Buy One Get One though...

Hah! Spent all morning finding, cropping, and packaging up photos - the samples, color schemes, and size chart listed with the "Photos First" class description helped a lot matching up what I needed. And I've got extras just in case... Whew. I haven't done any collage-type pages before so this was fun and different for me. Now - I just have to remember to bring them with me to Manchester! This will be so fun!!!

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I can hang for awhile after my last class. I'll be heading back home after that. We don't have a room onsite, so lunch would have to be out somewhere. There is a good place in the hotel with sandwiches, etc.

Some newbie tips -

Make sure to have some cash on hand. Some vendors have minimums for credit cards.

Bring a tote bag to carry all of your purchases. Easier to keep track of than a bunch of smaller bags.

Comfy shoes.

Bring address labels to use for the various raffles, etc. you'll be entering. Easier than having to write the info over and over.

Don't bring a big purse, it just becomes one more thing to lug around.
