I'm going to Orlando this weekend and was planning on taking my wife to some night clubs Which one is better between Pleasure Island and Citywalk?

We are in our 30's and like rock, 70's, and 80's dance music. So far I have noticed that it seems that Citywalk is a better option if we want something to eat during the night as their clubs have menus and the clubs in Pleasure Island don't look like they serve real food late night.

My wife has been to Pleasure Island but not Citywalk. I haven't been to either one. Also, with this beer festival going on at citywalk will it be crazy and full of rowdy drunks?

Thanks for the help.

Joe, it will be a little crazy this weekend because of the beer fest. When you get your beer ticket to the event you also get in free to all the clubs/bars at Citywalk. So I think it will be packed.

But Citywalk is huge compared to Pleaseure Island. It has a lot of space around the complex. The shops and resturants are not stacked on top of each other like P.L. As you can tell I prefer Citywalk to P.L.

We were just at P.L. last weekend and it's to small. Plus the bars/clubs they have there are outdated and small. I am 34 and my girlfreind is 35. So we like bars a little more then clubs. Citywalk has a lot of "adult" bars then P.L. Plus you can take the boat over to the Hard Rock and hang out in lounge they have in the hotel. It's a very cool place. One other point, P.L. you have to pay $20.00 just to get into the place. At Citywalk you only pay for the bars/clubs you want to go into. Plus you can buy drinks outside on the "street" and just walk around. With the weather so nice this weekend, Citywalk wins hands down. Let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know PI was so expensive to get into. I can at least use my anuual pass for the Citywalk party pass discount. Will I have to wait until after the beer festival is over to get into Citywalk if I just want to go to the clubs?

If you have a DDE card you can get into PI for $10.00, and right now they have a add $5.00 and 5 days. I like both for different reasons. I don't think PI is smaller, there is the whole west side also. westside has lots of dinner choices. I love Comedy warehouse and 8 traxx at PI, right now the beach club is closed for renovations. You can also buy drinks outside at PI and they have a band very night.

Hey Joe,

I think the beer fest. is set up around CityWalk. So you will not need a ticket to it to get into Citywalk. They are going to have 5 bands on Sat. at the beer fest. So if you like live music you will be able to hear it even if you are not buying a ticket to the fest.

I have read the previous reply and still think P.I is smaller. Citywalk seems to be more adult, more open and just more fun. Well what ever you decide to do have fun. If you make it to Citywalk a good bar to start out at is on the upper level. I do not know the name of it, but they sell cigars there also. A lot of Universial employees go there. They have some good drinks and TVs to watch any games going on.

joe, if you plan to stay at Disney, then definetly go to Pleasure Island. It is a great entertainment complex with many clubs and live shows. Dont forget, you have another huge entertainment area right next to PI called West Side and it has clubs such as House of Blues, and restaurants like Bongo's Cuban Cafe
