We are taking our first trip to UO in one week  and we would like to know if anyone has any info on the Bonkerz comedy club inside Jazz City.I myself do stand up :rotfl2: and am very much interested in hearing some feedback on the shows. Also my wife is very suseptable to hypnosis and would like to see the hypnotist show they have their on Sundays. Thanks All!!

I am very sorry to report that we have not had much luck at City Jazz. One time I actually fell asleep during the stand-up acts. I woke up when it was over, and hubby told me not to worry, I didn't miss anything. Not even a giggle. I remember once that someone was booed off stage. :( Perhaps we have just been there during "off" nights.

We also HATED the hypnotist. We kept waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting for him to get funny, but he never did, and in the end, we wanted 2.5 hours of our lives back. I have enjoyed hypnotist shows in the past, but this one (I am pretty sure his name is Doug Mc Graw or something like that) was way NOT funny, innovative, or even moderately entertaining. Again, maybe he was having an off night when we went. Or perhaps he tried too hard to keep things too clean as two children under the age of 12 were participating that night? I am not sure if this threw him off his game, but it was family oriented to the point of corny.

If you go, please be sure to report back if things have improved. We're reluctant to try this venue again until we hear some positive feedback.

Never seen the hypnosis show, but have seen the stand-up shows a couple times. Some of the comedians claim to have TV credits, but I've never seen anyone I recognized. A few play up their cruise line bookings, to give you an idea of their level of show biz success. Never seen anyone booed off the stage, but "mediocre" is the word that comes to mind. Might be worth seeing if you get the party pass; that way you can head across the path to Pat O
Brians if things get boring.

We will be staying onsite at the RPR for 9 days. Does this mean i can come and go to these places without a special pass?

No, you'd need to either pay for the show at City Jazz or get the City Walk Party Pass. Or, I'm not sure what kind of park tickets you have. Some, like the bonus pass, allow you access to both parks and City Walk venues. Have fun. We'll be at the RPR in two weeks. :)
