Cityrama Bus Tour

As you can probably tell I am spending a few hours this morning planning my trips, pre-booking restaurants etc so apologies in advance if I ask far too many questions.

I have decided I want to do the organised bus tours of Paris but other than the few pages in 'A brits guide to DLP' I have been unable to find out much more info. Is there a web site specifically for this trip ? How do I book today ? How much is it this year (its shown as £35 Ad and £18 ch in the 2003 version)

I don't know anything about the tour personally, but I did a quick search (because it was working!!) and I found this thread. It has some info in it, and the other two threads that Reid has linked to in post 3 also seem very useful.

Sarah, when we were thinking of booking this back in 2005 I telephoned the UK booking centre and was told as I was not on a package I couldn't book this through them but would have to arrange it through the Hotel New York, presumably because the tour leaves from outside there. How accurate this info is I don't know because we decided to DIY into Paris in the end.

Having done the Cityrama tour last year, due to DW having a bad ankle and the in-laws never havng been to Paris before, I was a little disappointed to be honest. In my opinion you would be better getting the train into Paris then hopping on one of the many tourist sightseeing busses instead. These allow you to get on and off at any of the attractions you wish. whereas the Cityrama only stops at Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower, missing many of the major sites, Sacre Cour, Montmartre and even the Arc de Triomphe! Even with the train fare it would cost less than the Cityrama tour too!
