If we stay at a close off-site hotel, Could we walk into city walk, or is there a charge? In the past we have only stayed at on-site hotels, so don't know the answer to this. Thanks for the information in advance.

Also....is there a close inexspensive hotel you would recommend?

no charge to walk thru city walk.

only charges are for the clubs in the evening.

there are some shops/stores at city walk besides the resturants and movie plex

I once stayed at the Doubletree outside of Universal...this was several years ago, however, and I don't remember how costly it was.

Park tickets don't include CityWalk? Correct? We're going next Sat for Mardi Gras. 1st, is it going to be packed at the parks? And We'll have to pay additional if we want to go into certain clubs? Which clubs? Although I may just stay at Buffets place. Not a big club type person. $10.00? if I read it correctly? Thanks any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm almost positive multi-day tickets include CityWalk access, tho single-day do not.

The parks probably won't be packed during the day, but the crowds in US should pick up by late afternoon, and the place will be jammed by early evening.

A $10 "party pass" gets you into all the clubs after 8 or 9 p.m., or individual clubs charge $5-7. That's Pat O'Brien's, Bob Marley's, The Groove, City Jazz, Latin Quarter and even Jimmy Buffet's, tho if you are willing to wait for a table and eat dinner, you can get into Buffet's for free. Live band starts at Buffet's around 10 p.m.

Even if you are not a "club" person, you might enjoy Pat O'Brien's (dueling pianos). Also, City Jazz usually has stand-up comics for a few hours on Saturday night.

yes, the multi day passes include the city walk access.

also, don't the hotel keys allow the perks also?
or is that just for head of the line for a table.......

I just got back from staying at the Rodeway International on I-Drive right accross the street from Wet n Wild. I got $41 a night rates and the hotel was well worth the money. While walking around I-Drive, I saw a bunch of the motels I was looking into before I left and I am extremely happy with the decision I made. The hotel is about a mile from Citywalk and its a very easy walk if you can do a mile. We made a total of six one-way walks and its IMO better than paying for a taxi or waiting for the free shuttle to stop at every hotel.

I was planning to go to Margaritaville on Sat. 2/18 for DD's BD. I was thinking more like 6:00-6:30. What will the atmosphere be at Citywalk. I have been to Pleasure Island on a Friday and would not want my kids there. If we go to Margaritaville at 6:30, eat and walk around will it be too crowded yet. I know that Mardi Gras is going on. We would probably go home at like 9:00-old farts. Kids are 11, 9 and turnign 8.

we never do Universal area so i have no clue! :confused3
