We are heading down the 14th-17th and were wondering if anybody could recommend any citrus stands/stores along the way. We will be going down I-95 and then cutting across on I-4. Thanks!

You'll see billboards for stuff all along the highways advertising indian river citrus, pecans, onions, peaches, etc... Most of them are fairly nice and you can eyeball them to see how shady they look. Some of them share space with established businesses like gas station / restaurant parking lots, etc... I've never really had a bad experience with them, but it's been a while since I stopped at one.

Orange World has had a dedicated business on 192 for many years. You can have breakfast at the Waffle House next door and then walk over to look around.

Or you could just pick your own... I drove by this place the other day and want to head there at some point. It's not too far of a drive from the WDW area.

We'll be there in a couple weeks, and plan on stopping by Showcase of Citrus again. I need more Orange Blossom Honey, and theirs is great!

It may be a bit out of the way considering your route, but it is a good pick-your-own or pick-from-what-they-picked orange grove. Be sure you check out the website that Pineapple Whip provided in the pp, you can see which of their multiple varieties will be in season when you are there. Plus, you can sample any of the fruits they have before you decide which to buy!

We have also stopped at a roadside truck sale, and liked the fruit we got there too. It was nearer the E coast, on the way to the Indian River. Sorry I can't offer better details on that one. :confused3

Have a great trip! :woohoo:

You just made it sound even better! Now I'm definitely heading there. Thanks! :thumbsup2

I recommend showcase of citrus they are all organic and have a great selection.

Yep, I agree...Showcase of Citrus is wonderful!!:thumbsup2 We are stopping again this year and my kids can't wait. My only disappointment last year was the fact that they were cleaning the fresh juice machines, so now juice for us! I'm hoping that won't be the case this year.
It was very quiet last year. We had plenty of time to sample (make sure you try them first to decide what you want to pick - the red navels are AMAZING!!) and then pick our own fruit. And it was easy to carry it on the plane too. No problems and great citrus to bring home by the bushel.
Try it and you'll love it! ;)
