My first post ever on the boards, so please be gentle!! Just had a wonderful past 10 days on property, unfortunetly during the record breaking cold spell for Central Florida ...

My husband and I dined at Citricos for dinner 3 times during our stay ... the food and the service were absolutely amazing!! The first evening we dined there, our host/server was David, from Arkansas - extremely personable, and really went out of his way to ensure that our experience was a good one. My all time favorite appetizer on the menu, for the past 3 years, has been the Gateau of Crab, and the wine that he suggested to be paired with it, definitely enhanced the meal.

For an entree, my husband was torn between the filet, and the braised short ribs ... David swore that the short ribs at Citricos were the best on Disney property, so my husband ordered ... and was definitely not dissapointed!! In fact, several nights later, we dined at Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and tried the short ribs there. Yes, they were good, with an interesting take on the sauce, but hands down, Citricos's were far better!! (No offense to our Hostess Nancy at Jiko ... as she too, was fabulous, but Citricos wins the taste test over Jiko!!)

Our next 2 visits to Citricos were equally spectacular ... the culinary staff and servers really are top notch, and extremely knowledgeable in food and wine pairing. We asked for David for each of our subsequent visits .... again, I can not rave enough about his customer service and knowledge of not only the menu at Citricos, but other signature restaurants!!

We had dinner at Citricos during our trip and it was the best meal, hands down! My husband says the Oak-grilled Filet of Beef was the best steak he has ever had and if it had been remotely acceptable, I would have tipped back the bowl of my Sauteed Shrimp appetizer! We will definitely be eating at Citricos again some day!

We have been to Citricos three times in the last 2 years and it is consistently one of the best meals we have every trip!

Citricos has been our favorite since 2001. We eat there every visit, sometimes twice in the same trip! Excellent food and service!

I was interested to try Citricos on our latest trip, but alas, couldn't fit it in! We did peek in and the restaurant looks really nice, with some interesting menu items. Glad you enjoyed your meal!

Since I posted on this thread last, we did go to Citricos and I have to say I had pretty high expectations, and I'm glad to say it did not disappoint!

Citricos is a lovely restaurant and we had a very enjoyable evening here.
The service was fantastic and the food was awesome! We had several people in our group with food allergies and the chef was amazing working with them. My DD13 is a picky eater on top of her allergies, and he asked her what she wanted...anything...and ended up customizing a pasta dish for her.

The wines were nice, appetizers, main courses and desserts were all very good.

I had the short ribs and they were delicious!
