My DH is interested in trying out this restaurant in Aug. Any reviews or comments would be appreciated.

We went for the first time last year (for my birthday)... I was so impressed with the service and the food that we will be going back again this year. I don't remember what we ate, but I can tell you that I am a 10+ year CM at WDW, hubby has 7 years... it takes A LOT to impress us when we go out on property.... As soon as we got home I sat down and wrote a letter to the manager of the restaurant to applaud the service we recieved.

I am sure that there are good and bad experiences among all of us, there are bound to be...but for me it is a total thumbs up :thumbsup2

What's really interesting is that the thing I remember most about this restaurant is that it had the finest cloth tablecloths of any restaurant we've ever eaten at at WDW. That distinction, though, was actually evident throughout the service provided at Citricos. Even Artist Point, which I think is the best restaurant at WDW, didn't project the message to me as much that I was receiving the most luxurious service offered by Disney.

One of our favorite places at WDW - great food, service, decor, wine list. I like everything about it.

I changed into light dockers, a rolled collar (golf) shirt, and docksider shoes.

My family ate here last august (on free dining) and it was one of the best WDW restaurants we have ever eaten at. I had a steak which was wonderful and the service was the best! Our family wore sundresses for dd (13) and myself and the boys (dh & ds (13) wore kakhi pants with polo shirts. Everyone was more dressed at citricos than most places in wdw. There was a table next to us which appeared to be an anniversary celebration and they were quite dressed up (men in jackets women in very dressy dresses) we almost felt a bit underdressed. And you absolutely have to try dessert. Each of us had a different dessert and one was better than the next. You really should try it, I think you will love it!

Mom and I ate here in December and it was by far the best meal we've ever had on property. It's still pretty much a big secret at Disney it seems - rarely hear anyone talk about it on these boards and it was nowhere near full when we were there. Made for a nice, quiet, relaxing meal.

Our waitress was very attentive without hovering, and the food was just. . . my mouth is watering thinking about it. I had the filet and was very impressed that they managed to make it well done (I'm picky, pink turns my stomach, LOL) and it was still SO juicy, tender and flavorful. I'm trying to remember what mom had. . . veal maybe? I think we both savored every single bite.

We're debating going back in September. I made an ADR for California Grill because I knew it'd fill up and at least this way we have the ADR in case we decide to go there. . . if we change our mind, it'll be no problem to cancel CG and get a spot at Citrico's. As much as I wanna try CG, I'd really love to go for Citrico's again so it'll be a tough decision as our travel dates near.

As for what to wear, I had black slacks a blouse and heels and mom had slacks, a sweater and dress shoes. There was a range of outfits - from dressy casual to just dressy.
