Anyone have any opinions? I haven't dined there since when they first opened... just made an ADR there for Valentine's Day. I was torn between there and California Grill but we've eaten there lots so I thought i'd give Citrico's a try. Did I make a mistake?

I don't think so; we had dinner there is September and the entire family enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere; excellent food and the service was top notch.

Citrico's would be a wonderful place for a romantic meal. It is attactive and quiet, it has a wonderful menu and attentive service. I think you made a wonderful choice!

We were there last May and really enjoyed Citrico's. I have dined at the California Grill as well, but do not really like the atmosphere there. Seems noisy and too open. I prefer the atmosphere at Citrico's and consider it to be more romantic not just because of the restaurant's decor, but because the GF is so romantic and relaxing. I love the food and consider Citrico's to be one of the best restaurants at WDW. I know you do not get a great view of the Castle, but a quaint view of the GF is fun too. I think I would always choose Citrico's over the California Grill just because of the atmosphere.

Just to add to the praise for Citrico's. We went early on in the evening with our (then) DS4, so as not to disturb you romantic couples out there! It really wasn't very busy. We had a great waiter, lovely table with a view of the monorail, which kept our son entertained. We were so nicely relaxed that my DS picked up on the vibe I think and was a little angel. For some reason, the more expensive the restaurant the better behaved he is, he was perfect at California Grill too.

I wish I could remember exactly what we had, I know I went for something I wouldn't normally choose and was very happily surprised! My DH would say that was one of his favorite meals. I think the GF is outstanding for restaurants (and yea for the kid's club there, so you can enjoy them occasionally on your own!)

I have written so many reviews on this restaurant.....all I can say is Excellent..

Do not miss this restaurant...we will be there Thursday night for dinner.. woohoo

We ate here in December and it was fabulous. Everything we order was grand! I think you will be very pleased!!!!

I have had the osso bucco which was excellent. I think it is their signature dish. Although, I imagine everything is excellent. The arancini appetizer was great, too (risotto balls fried with sausage and cheese). Anyway, hope you enjoy your meal.

don't you love high class problems :thumbsup2

We really enjoyed Citricos but i like CG a little better. I love being able to view the MK and the wine list at CG is outstanding. We had a great meal at Citricos - it's more intimate but less unique. It was like a great restaurant anywhere and is less disney-fied. IIRC I ordered the gateau of crab (heavenly) and pan roasted halibut which was very good. I tasted the onion tart DH had and it was yummy!

I also liked Jiko better but I'm mad for that filet over mac&cheese!

I adore Citricos. One of the few places that the food is so good it makes me cry tears of pure joy. Here are my favs:

STARTERS
Warm Onion Tart with Walnut Vinaigrette
(The flavors in this marry so well that I want to lick the plate. No really. I nearly broke a busboys wrist when he tried to take it with a tiny bite left. I think I growled at him.)

Gateau of Crab - Jumbo Lump Crab and Sweet Corn Sauce
(The crab was large, juicy pieces and the corn just accents the sweetness of the crab. Wonderful.)

Foie Gras Ravioli in Shiitake Mushroom Jus
(One of my favs. I adore foie gras and this is creamy while taking on a bit of the earthiness of the mushrooms. To die for.)

Sauteed Shrimp with Lemon, White Wine and Feta Cheese
(This has been on the menu for ages. The tartness of the lemon and the cheese blend perfectly with the large, plump shrimp and the wine. Excellent!)

MAIN DISHES
Basil-crusted Rack of Lamb with ragout of spinach, white beans & shiitakes
(This was a perfect medium rare, the herb crust was an ideal compliment to the meat and the veggies worked really well with this dish. Have a forkfull of the spinach ragout and a piece of lamb on the same fork. Yum.)

Roasted Duck Breast with corn & zucchini pudding with french beans
(The duck was moist, tender, not gamey, greasy or fatty. The skin was crispy and the pudding was out of this world! It reminded me of a variation on spoonbread that the early Rockefellers would have served.)

Chef Gray is a God. I can't wait for Feb 9th! :Pinkbounc
