Last night we dined at Citrico's again...
We arrived moments before 7:00, and were seated at a table with a view of the castle and fireworks. Nice start! Jim ordered a Fischer Labell ($5.50) and I ordered a Bellini ($8.50). The Citrico's Bellini's are out of this world, I could easily drink half a dozen of them...peach and raspberry juices with sparkling wine--they taste like fruit punch with a little fizz
We had Jason as our server. He was efficient and polished, but John is the server to request at Citrico's, and we kind of wished we had done so.
I began with the Salad Maison ($6.00), which is a mixture of baby greens topped with an incredible Cabernet vinagrette. The sweetness of the cabernet and greens tempers the tartness of the vinegar. We were also brought a basket of breads--actually two. One for Jim, and one for myself...one of the breads is a nut bread, and I have nut allergies, so they brought a seperate basket of the white bread just for me. Yum!
We ordered our entrees, Jim choose the Salmon ($25.00) and I selected the Morrocon spiced chicken($22.00), and asked for potatoes rather than the red rice. I also ordered a glass of the Hangtime Chardonnay ($10.25).
Jim's salmon arrived cooked medium rare. The portion was enormous, and he said it was one of the best meals he ever had. My chicken was a tad dry, and left me wishing I had ordered the filet instead.
We split the sorbet trio ($8.00) for dessert, mango, raspberry, and bannana sorbets that are made in house. Absolutely delicious, and a perfect light dessert!
