If dinner starts @ 5:30pm, what time would we be finished? How long is dinner typically? Do they seat you right at 5:30pm?

I was able to get the Tomorrowland Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom for the same time as my current ADR time @ Citricos (7:20pm). Trying to see if we should do the dinner before or after the dessert party.

When we went to Citricos we were seated immediately. We had an early reservation so there was no problem. If you do the dinner before the dessert party, just let them know and they will be sure you are out in time.

Enjoy!

Just my opinion but it is a huge mistake to do the dessert party after a big meal...you might not be hungry and it is a waste. If I was going to the pary I would grab counter service early and then save up for treats.

We did Cali Grill at 5:30 and then did the dessert party at 8:20 and neither of us were able to enjoy lots of treats as we were too full from salads and meals (no desserts) at CG.

Signature meals always take us 2 hours.

My thoughts exactly - :thumbsup2

Citricos has amazing desserts you won't want to miss!!

I'd move the dinner to another night, eat CS and then do the dessert party. After a big meal like you get at a signature you won't want the desserts. And if you're on DDP you get a dessert with the meal, too.

I agree with this suggestion if the Dessert Party is important. I can't imagine going from an exceptional TS meal right to the Desser Party!

A) I agree with the PP's - you don't want to have the dessert party and TS meal on the same night. And you don't want to miss the desserts at Citricos!

B) There's not enough time anyway. Signature meals take at least an hour, more depending on how many courses you order.

1. I wouldn't eat dinner on a dessert party night - a mid-afternoon TS lunch is the way to go.

2. Ain't no such thing as a 7:20 Dessert Party. The reservation system insists on giving staggered ADRs for this event, but there is one and only one Dessert Party per night and it starts 1 hour before Wishes for everyone, no matter what ADR time they assigned you. If Wishes is at 8, you need to be at the Tomorrowland Terrace just before 7 pm or you'll miss half the time you've paid for. If Wishes is at 9, don't bother showing up until just before 8; getting there 40+ minutes early defeats the whole purpose of the Party of giving you great seats for the fireworks without losing an hour of park time.

Our dinner at Citricos on Saturday took a solid two hours, and PPs are right, the desserts were waaaaay too good to skip!
