We're looking to do 1 signature restaurant during our trip and love seafood - which should we choose between these two?

I used to love Flying Fish but then they changed the menu and reviews suffered but I have read really good things about the place lately but Citrico's is one of my favorite places to go. I would go there.

Of those 2, I like Flying Fish better. But, my 2 favorite signatures are Narcoossee's and Yachtsman Steakhouse.

We love Flying Fish. Guess we missed it when the food quality went down as we have never had a bad meal there. Ate there last fall again.
Citricos, we have tried several times. Never had a bad meal there, but never had a great meal. After our last time there ( last fall), we decided we didn't need to go back. Wasn't bad, but nothing memorable.

Flying Fish (or Bluezoo if not on the dining plan). You could also consider The Boathouse.

we ate at Bluezoo our last trip and loved it! I agree that it is the best Seafood at WDW.

I read that Flying Fish was recently "updated" and that it is much better than before. I have not eaten there since the change so I can't provide a first person review

Flying Fish! The service and food are excellent and I love the Boardwalk vibe. I found Citrico's to be really mediocre. If you aren't on the dining plan, I agree with the PP's bluezoo recommendations as well!

We are huge fans of Flying Fish. I like others do prefer their menu from a few years better, but they are serving some of the best seafood on property.

We've never been big fans of Citricos. There is absolutely nothing wrong their the food, but there is also absolutely nothing wrong with their food. It's good. It's fine. But never wowed me.

Another option to consider is Narcoossee's. I like to try different things at restaurants but the scallops and shrimp pasta dish at Narcoosee's is my exception. These two change slightly year over year but they are two of my favorite dishes on property. Plus you can watch fireworks from the deck.

THose are two of our favorites.. Dont like Narcoosees. Tried it again in march and was not impressed.

Another vote for bluezoo, though I know it doesn't really answer OP's question. It's usually on another level above most DDP restaurants. If I had to stick with the original two options, I'd go with Flying Fish, though I agree I've heard it's lost something recently.

I was excited for Flying Fish and was kind of disappointed with my selection. I think I got swordfish. Citricos was a much better experience with the halibut.

Citricos or FF?
All prepare fish well and I've enjoyed the professionalism of the servers at both restaurants.

If I was feeling less adventurous Citricos would be the place I'd make a reservation for. Brightly lit with decor in keeping with the resort's overall theme. Maybe the lighting attract the large family groups that were in evidence during the 2 times we ate there over the Christmas holidays.

More interested in innovative cooking? FF wins hands down. Somehow I never had any dessert at Citricos but I nevah miss it at Flying Fish. This goes way past the frequently overly sweetened offerings available throughout WDW. The setting is perfectly thought out for this type of cuisine and reminds me in many ways of the interior design at bluezoo.

I haven't been to the FF since their remodel and menu change, however it was far superior to Citricos. The food, service, atmosphere was just meh at Citricos. Felt like I was eating in a Hilton banquet room.

Eating at flying fish in about an hour. Blue zoo is ok but if ff is back to what it used to be it's no contest. Ate at yachtsman 2 days ago and it blew shulas out of the water. Jiko was amazing and as usual il mulino is the best italian in orlando. Cali grill and narcoosees were disappointing. Citricos will be on the next trip but it's always been spot on.

Can't let go of the many memories of the old Flying Fish (banana napoleon)--even had our favorite wait staff. Have been back only once since the re-do a few years ago, wasn't a great experience. We like Citricos very much and dine there if we can't get a reservation at V and A because we love the GF atmosphere and make an evening of it with the band/pianist/bar. We'll be there early March.

Just finished at flying fish. Food and service were both spot on and top notch. I eat at sig restaurants a lot and at upper end restaurants at home and on the road when I travel. Flying fish was extremely good.

Flying Fish is better in my opinion.

Also, Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian is better for Seafood than Citricos I feel.

Id still vote Flying Fish over both.
