I know it's a business casual dress code, but do men need to wear jackets/sportscoats?

Thanks.

I would say Dockers and a collared shirt would suffice, althoug a sportcoat wouldn't be out of place.

Thank you for the quick response! :thumbsup2

Anne,

THanks for the detailed info! My mom is planning on wearing capris and a nice top and sandals. Dad is going with chinos and a button down shirt. Do you think this is ok?

Also, I've arranged this dinner for them because of all the help they've given to me and DH and our kids - plus they are generously paying for a large portion of this trip. Can you make any suggestions for something special I can arrange with Citricos for dessert or something?

Thank you!!

Sounds great. We've gone in everything from a dress and heels for me and sport jacket over open collar Oxford and slacks for DH, to chino's and a polo for him, and chino's and a blouse for me. It's the type of place that a suit won't look out of place, a tux would, but chino's and a polo are totally appropriate as well. :)

Lots of possibilities. How much do you want to spend? Do they like wine? Citrico's has several bottles of champagne available, including Dom Perignon @ $200+ per bottle and Vueve Cliquot for around $125. There are some others in the $50-75 range. Champange is the one wine that goes with every single type of food.

You could also arrange for a cake by calling in advance, or Cindy's slippers...BUT the desserts are so good that as much as I love the Slippers, I'd often rather have the handmade sorbet or the creme brulee. The sorbet there is generally too die for, and 90% of the time what I get for dessert there.

If they enjoy wine I might seriously give thought to having a bottle waiting for them.

Call the restaurant and speak to one of the managers, my guess is that they might have some ideas I haven't thought of. You might also ask to have Gwen be their server, of all the current wait staff she is the best--excellent service and VERY personable! I'm going to PM yu about the best table in the palce because I don't want to give away the secret to everyone. ;)

Great choice for your parents, it's a truly wonderful restaurant.

Anne
