Thinking of surprising dw with tickets for this summer so, has anyone been lately? Is it worth it? And of course are there any discounts for dvc members? Thanks

It's been a couple of years since I went, but I though it was a fabulous show. It was so beautiful, just like moving art. I believe DVC gets a 25% discount on level 2 tix. I would recommend it.
We have gone in Sept 03 and Nov 04. It is amazing. We love it. I dont' know about discounts. The first time we went we weren't DVC memebers so we used it as part of what they called "flex plan". But when we went in 04 there wasn't discounts then. I bought the tickets on the web site and got front row center stage. I couldn't believe it. I had to have DH come in and verify for me that those were the seats before I confirmed. There was 8 of us. We bought the tickets for DS, DD, DD best friend, DFIL, DMIL and DSIL for their Christmas presents that year. Everyone loved it. But there is a funny story to this. I thought the show started at 9:30 and we let DS, DD and DDbest friend go to Disney Quest. Well I couldn't figure out why there was no one out side, then I looked at the tickets and it said that it started at 9:00. DS had come out of Disney Quest, so I gave everyone their tickets and told them to go in. But we still had to get DD and DD best friend out of Disney Quest. Well we got into the show as the clowns were finishing their skit. At least we made it...learned to always check ticket times. I think it is a must to see if you can afford it.
We went in June of 2005. It was wonderful. I clapped so much that my hands actually hurt. I was apprehensive about seeing it because of the cost, but it was well worth it.
Have fun,
Paula
We went in December '05 and I would say we were only moderately impressed. We had great seats, top price range and did not take advantage of the DVC discount for Level 2 seats (it hadn't been extended yet when I made the purchase). I would recommend that you go, but try to take advantage of the DVC discount on Level 2 seating if they still offer it. If not, just buy the best they have in Level 2 - it's true what they say that every seat in the theater is a good one and then your investment isn't quite as much.
