Cirque du Soliel

Hey everyone! For our upcoming trip, I am considering going to Cirque du Soliel. We have never been before. I was wondering for those of you who have been where were your seats? Obviously, the front and center seats are the best but I wanted to know how far back you could go and still have a good view and enjoy the show. Thanks!

Do not sit on the floor, come back up a few rows so you can see the stage. It is a very interactive production and some of it occurs around people in their seats. A few things may even happen behind you. I booked my MIL and BIL on the section just up from the floor on the end two seats and they loved it. I want to say it was row 20 I think. You can find the set up on line to pick your seats.

Actually front and center aren't the best seats. If I could choose any seats, I would pick category 2 seats. Category 3 seats are good too, though.

I was just about to post this exact question!!! My husband is demanding we go this year!

I was curious about seats and showtimes. Haven't really looked into times so much yet...are the shows only in the evening?

Thanks everyone! I'm not going to book front and center but I still debating between Category 1,2,and 3.

DanceMomCG, the show is only at night and they only have shows on certain days depending on the season. The shows are at 6pm and 9pm. You should check out their website: http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/shows/lanouba/default.aspx

I also have a few more questions... when facing the stage, is it better to sit to the left, right, or center?

Also, you said that there is a lot of interactions with the audience. Do they only interact with the people sitting in front and center section?

Some people prefer right in the center, but I actually think the view is a bit better off to the side a bit (it doesn't matter which side.) The thing to remember is that a fair amount of the show takes place in the air above the stage, so if you're sitting front and center or in the lower section of category 1, you spend most of the show straining your neck.

If money was no object, I would probably chose the first row of 206 which would be category 2. But in all honesty, those seats are only very slightly better than the category 3 seats marked with the red dot:

I've sat in those seats (sec 206 row JJ) and the view was phenomenal.

Choose the cheapest, you can see the show fine from every seat

We went last year. We sat on the right side of sect. 101 about 4 rows up. We booked last minute. I thought they would be horrible seats, but I don't think there are bad seats, there is SO much going on EVERYWHERE. Left/right does not really matter. Yes, you are looking up a lot to see the above you, but you won't care. There was some interaction w/ people in the direct middle section (top, right of 103) and during the show (bottom, right 103).
It was one of our favorite experiences during our visit!

DW and I went a couple of years ago during a slow time of the year. I had read that you could get last minute tickets (if available) at a lower cost at the window. I don't know the details about if this is still the case, but it did work for us. According to the map, we must have had the first row of seats in section 207. These were some of the cheapest seats and they were wonderful. At multiple times during the show, the entertainers paraded and performed right in the aisle in front of us. Those people in the lower bowl had to turn around to see.

I guess the message that I have is that all of the seats are good. If I were to go again, I wouldn't pay a premium to be front and center. Much of the show is up in the air and being back and up is a good thing. If you can get cheaper seats where we sat, I would do it.

Good luck. The show is not cheap, but is well worth it. The things that they do are amazing.

We haven"t been yet but have it planned for our first upcoming trip! Our travel agent said she has been 3 times and loves it so much she would go back again and again! She calls it a MUST SEE!

Husband told her to book us the best seats she could without being in the Highest price she booked us in section 104 A 1,2,3.

I guess we will see if these are good seats or not (i hear people saying mid section is better) Honestly to me it seems as if there really arent going to be any bad seats. I know this is a lot bigger scale but we have been to the circus many many times which has a similar arena setup and have sat just about everywhere from bottom to tip top and all in between and I always prefer somewhere midways up slightly off to one of the sides

As a frequent attender of Cirque Du Soleil shows both La Nouba, the Las Vegas shows and travelling shows, I can say that they are designed so that there really is no bad seat. Sometimes the rigging is a viewing issue in the travelling shows but that's rare and depends on the stage configuration. I've seen La Nouba about 4 or 5 times now (lost count) and would suggest taking any seat in the first row of the back section. Nobody infront of you basically, and they use that aisleway between the front and back sections a few times throughout the show. The worst seats I've ever had there have been "front and centre", you don't get to see everything that way.

I second the people saying section 206. also go on a odd night like a wed or thur if it is running. the theater on a thur in the fall was dead. it was great we had section 3 seats. we went down into section 2 and spread out.

you really want to be back you just get such a better view of everything that happens. alot comes from above and the front.

I disagree on no bad seat (but this could just very well a me being picky thing)...I HATE having a view from the side. It makes it totally unejoyable for me. We had seats in the first row of section 204 the first time we saw it and they were PERFECT! The next time saw it we were off to the side and didn't like the view as much.
