I think a 6 year old would enjoy it, some sections more than others, but I don't think they would be bored. There's always something to look at. I have been twice and am considering going again with some first timers so I guess you could say I think it's value for money

Having watched the programme on BBC2 my 6 year old DD loved it and we are planning to go later this year.

My 7 year old DS on the other hand would not enjoy it so he and DH are spending the time in DQ

I've never seen a bored kid watching Cirque, that doesn't mean that it will appeal to everyone, but I think by far the majority of them do enjoy the show. My step son loved the show when he was 6 and still goes on about watching it again 4 years later. He's an ultra fidgetty kid ( ADHD) and I think it's the only time in the 5 years I've know him that he was quiet and still for 2 hours ( 2 minutes is a more normal time frame and even that's pushing it :D)

As far as value for money goes, that's a difficult call for someone else, it's such a subjective subject. Personally I think it's a stunning show and if you compare it to the cost of a good Broadway or West End show/theatre (which IMHO is a fair comparisom, I don't think one should compare it to a night out at Billy Smarts on Blackheath common) it's good value.

I would advise to order the tickets on line before you go. The earlier you book the tickets the best choice of seats you'll have. There are no "bad seats" in cirque, but there are definately some that are better than others. I would choose central seats over "wings" and IMHO the first 5 rows of the second tier of seating offer the best mix of being close to the action to see details, but far enough back to be able to take in all the periforal action.

Another vote for Cirque... it's superb, and our kids, then 7 and 9 loved it! We went to see the touring show Saltimbanco by Cirque last weekend at the trafford centre and that was stunning too!:teeth: We intend revisiting La Nouba in the near future.

Like vernon said, all the seats are good, but the central seats halfway up the theatre are best. We did the earlier evening show and ate before the performance... when the show kicked out the local restaurants were swamped!

Hope you decide to go. :smooth:

Mike
