I am interested in hearing from anyone who has seen the Cirque du Soleil show. It looks like an awesome show, and I would love to see it although I was wondering if 73-85 dollars was worth 90 minutes?

We saw the Cirque du Soleil show last year over Labor Day weekend. It was a fabulous show - worth every penny.

We love the Cirque shows - they are very entertaining.

I too wondered if it could possibly be worth it. But DD's 20 and16 wanted it for part of their Christmas present. All 4 of us were spellbound the entire time. When it was over I honestly thought it must be intermission before I realized there wasn't one. DD 16 used at as her cultural event at school. When I read her paper she said it was the most awesome thing she had ever seen. And she has been to many different things.

In fact we loved it so much we watched the shows on Bravo NYE. And we will be going to Vareki in Chicago.

We, too, thoroughly enjoyed it. Our entourage consisted of me & hubby, in our 40s, our boys, ages 15 & 11 along with another couple about our age, their son, 5 and their daughter 12. It held the attention of everyone and everyone left in awe. My 15 year old had not been keen on going, but now wants to go again or to another of the Cirque performances somewhere. Due to the cost, we can't go every trip to Orlando, but I would definitely see doing it again in 3-4 years.

Definitely worth it-we have tickets for this trip also. Will do it every trip if we can!! DD (then 16) and DS(then 13) loved it as
did our DF's children (DD 4 and DD 8). Appeals to all age groups.

My DH didn't think so, so we never went. Then in August 2001 we received 4 gift certs. from friends who were our guests at BWV that past April. DH wasn't nearly as excited as I was (and he really does love all things Disney) and the kids (dd 12 & dd 10) we even less thrilled. I thought the entire show was an absolutely wonderful experience and the Kids and DH enjoyed it also. However, it wasn't until we got home (and to this day) that I realized just how much they enjoyed it. If they are in ear shot of the words "Cirque Du Soleil", they will go off on an entire explanation of the whole show - each trying to "out-talk" the other. I just sit back and smile. When my DH found out that there were Cirque's in other cities, he wants to go see them too... (someday)

So, if you have to opportunity, go and you will love it!!! It is WELL worth every cent.

We went last year and I tell people that it was worth every penny and than some. But SHHHHHH we don't want them to know so they don't raise prices!!!!!
We had a Great time. The Music /costomes and acts were Fabulous! and Outstanding!

They pay over a $100 to see it in Vegas. I'm paying the price again to see it a second time. Nothing like this show anywhere. As soon as it's over you won't give the dollars a second thought. I did though and thought it was a bargain. So do it!!! Do not miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi.

How early can you buy tickets? Is it three months? Are there preferred views or general admission??

Thank you.

Paul

My DH and I saw the Mystere show in Vegas and we heard about the Disney Cirque. We bought tickets for our family (mom, dad, sister and her family) for Christmas as we were all planning a Spring trip together. When they opened the gift they were "oh! That's sounds like fun... (i.e. they weren't too sure about it) Fast forward to the show...they loved it and gushed on and on about how happy they were we got them tickets. I say you should try to go if you can. It's expensive but very entertaining! Have fun!:)

Not sure how far in advance you can buy. I purchased in early Oct for mid Dec. The tickets are assigned seats. At Disney there are 2 price tiers. We took the cheaper one and had great seats right next to the more expensive tier. The seats are assigned and you don't know the seat number until you purchase, at least not if you call Cirque for the Disney one so you really can't pick location.
For Vareki in Chicago you could pick a section and it would pull up certain seats so you could pick the section but not the seats. This I did online

I purchased tickets for May 2003 in November 2002.

BTW-if you can't get what you want they sometimes have tickets for sold out shows or better seats available through ticketmaster.

We were there last year on April and the show is riveting! There is so much action and activity you can hardly catch it all!! I would highly recommend the show!!:bounce:
