Cirque du Soleil seating question

I was hopping someone could tell me if a category 3 seat at Cirque du soleil is ok. Being on a budget anything above a cat 3 seat pushes us over the limit; we would like to see the show but if the seats aren’t that good I would rather spent the money elsewhere. I was looking at a site that has a Map of the theater and I wondered if Sec 201 row AA seats 7-11 or Sec 207 Row AA seats 1-5 or maybe Sec 101 Row H Seats 1-5 or Sec 105 Row H 12-16

Thanks

We just saw La Nouba Jan 14th and it is great. The theater was build for La Nouba and they say there are no really bad seats in the house. I was really surprised at how small it was. The only bad seats that I saw might be the ones you are talking about though, just because they are so close to the wall and are on one side. There are large tubes on each side of the stage and I don't know how much of your view might be blocked (of stuff going on in the back part of the stage). If I had to go with Cat 3 seats I would choose the most central I could get even if I had to sit up higher--probably Sec 202 JJ-LL seats 23-19 or Sec 206 JJ-LL seats 1-5.

We got Category 1 seats Sect 103, Row F, Seats 1,2, & 3. We were really too close and when I go back (which I definitely will) I plan to request Sect 205 or 203 Row AA. The reason being almost all of the preshow takes place on the walkway between sect 103 and 204. Also alot of the show is up in the air and we were looking up quite a bit. If you happen to be sitting in the top row of sec 103 on the right as you come into the theater you will have some interactions with the clowns during the preshow. The good thing about our seats was that we were so close we had wondrful views of the performers facial expressions, but again we were too close and couldn't really take in all that was happening. The show was wonderful and well worth every penny we paid for those Category 1 seats. Be sure to buy them in advance as people were waiting outside trying to get last minute tickets when we were there. My 8 y/o GD still talks about the show.

My parents very graciously gave us tickets for my Birthday and we saw La Nouba on Jan. 13th. We were in section 101 Row A, Seats 11 & 12. We absolutly LOVED the show and will definately go back. The only drawback that I could find was that since we were in the front row we had a hard time getting the whole effect of the show, however being in the front had it's perks too. You got a little interaction with the performers. At one point a performer was heading towards me at a pretty fast clip and I jumped a little. Well, the guy actually winked at me! I would try to get a seat farther away from the stage if you can, but no matter where you sit you will love the show. I can't wait to see it again. Enjoy!

Thanks for the good info. It's hard to look at a map of a place that you have never been in.

There's not a bad seat in the house. If catagory 3 seats fit your budget, go for it. We are seeing it for the third time in a few weeks!

Muffy, I hope your right! I have wanted to do this for a long time! But, have been waiting for my ds to get a little older so he would enjoy it also! (He is turning 8 right before our trip) But, I had already planned HDDR, FM tour, DQ, TL, and a lot of PS's! So, I did order the Cat. 3 seats. We got 201 BB 7,8,9! I hope we won't be dissapointed! :cool1:  Anyone else done Cat 3 and was okay with it??? :cheer2:

...off-hand, what the prices are for the 3 categories??

(I just may purchase 4 tix for our trip in 3 weeks!)

I totally agree!

The theatre was built so that no one has a "Bad View"!

Enjoy it!

We always do!

...for a response please! :guilty:

TICKET PRICES ($US) Cirque de Soleil at WDW:

Category 1
Adults: $87.00 plus tax
Children (3-9 yrs.): $65.00 plus tax.

Category 2
Adults: $75.00 plus tax
Children (3-9 yrs.): $56.00 plus tax.

Category 3
Adults: $59.00 plus tax
Children (3-9 yrs.): $44.00 plus tax.

If I remember correctly, the show is about 90 minutes in length.

There are usually some discount ticket vendors who sell Cirque tickets as well. The prices above are rack rate.

kimmar067, if you're interested in category 2, try ticketmania. $72 adult, $43 child, tax INCLUDED, Free shipping. Not a lot of savings for adult tickets, but child's is cheaper than category 3. You get a voucher, then have to call to get actual seats. Our trip is still too far away, so I haven't done the calling part yet.

hgmom, it's at DTD, West side.

...now we don't know if we are going to WDW or not [MAY have to postpone!] so, if we do, I'll just buy tix when we get there, IF we get there! :guilty:
