Am thinking about getting tickets to see this show in Nov. It will be DS8, myself and DH. A couple questions ...

1) What is the best place to sit?

2) Is it worth the money to buy the premium tickets?

3) Do you think an 8 year old will enjoy the show?

DH and I went in October and loved it! He got the tickets for my birthday so he did get the premium tickets. We were 3rd row, center stage. But after seeing how intimate the theater is you would have a great seat anywhere, in my opinion. As for your 8 year old, I would think alot would depend on their attention span! There is no talking in the show, just music and lots of action. There was a large group that sat in the row in front of us. There were probably 6 or 7 kids and 2 adults. The kids looked to be between 10 and 14. At the end of the show 1/2 of them were asleep! So you might want to get more opinions on taking your 8 year old!

We took our 4 kids 12, 11, 9 and 3 to the show this last December. They all really loved it. The 3 year old did fall asleep the last 30 minutes or so though.
We were in the 1st row in the second level just a little off the right...section 205 I think. For me, it was worth getting the premium seats, but when I was there I remembered thinking that any seat would be good too. I would rather have seats in the back than none at all.

I am going again in September, with my mom, sister and cousin who are going to WDW for the first time. I got us the exact same seats as I had the last time, so I know the view. I can't wait! You should go, I think your 8 year old would love it!

Don't know
Maybe
Perhaps.

Hope that clears it up. I went 5 years ago and it was awesome. We did not have the best seats but we were so into the show that we did not notice. If money is not a problem, go for it, otherwise don't bother. I can tell you that you will love it. I have no experience with kids over 4 so I can't help there. Have a good time.

I've never been to La Nouba, but have tickets for my upcoming trip in October. I've been to several different Cirque shows (Mystere, O, Zumanity, Corteo, Varekai) and have seen that there is often alot going on onstage at once. And not just onstage, above the stage, in the audience, above the audience.

In my opinion, the best seats for any Cirque show are in the first row of the second section; you're far enough back to be able to take it all in, and there's no one sitting directly in front of you. I got seats in the front row of 206 for the show I'm attending, which are category 2 seats, and therefore a little cheaper.

We just attended the show and had the middle priced tickets. We were pretty high up but the seats were great and I wouldn't want to be too close because in some cases you would be looking up or behind you if in the front rows. The girls loved the show, they are 15, but I think younger kids would also be entertained. Nancy

I first saw the show when I was around 9 and I loved it. We sat in the first row which I wouldn't recommend, all night we were craning our necks. It is much more pleasant from a little farther away.

I like towards the top row of 103, or the lower rows of 203 to 205.

Any seat in the house is a good seat though!

Don't waste your money on the expensive tickets. The view from the cheaper seats is just fine. Having said that, it is not to be missed, and even though the cheapest seats are still very expensive, it's worth every penny.

Cirque is fabulous. We thing the best seats are in the second section also. Really no seat is a bad seat..the theatre is very small. There is so much going on, on the stage all at the same time the second section allows you to take it all in a bit easier.

My children would have loved it at age 8, I think it depends on the kid. Only you can tell if your child will enjoy it.

Anyone know the price ranges for the tickets? About how long does the show last? Thanks!

The show is an hour and 40 minutes and the ticket prices (with tax) are

Cat 1 $101.17 (10 years and older) $80.94 (3-9 years old)

Cat 2 $82.00 (10 years and older) $66.03 (3-9 years old)

Cat 3 $64.96 (10 Years and older) $52.18 (3-9 years old)

As for the original question I agree with everyone else. There are no bad seats in the house, but given the option I would go Cat 2. There is a lot of ariel in La Nouba so the front section is a little too close for me. I think an 8 year old will love it, but every child is different, you know your child better than anyone else :)

La Nouba is going to be on Bravo May 8 at 5pm and 11pm, Just FYI (I don't want to ruin the show for you...although it is a totally different experience performed live) but perhaps you might want to have your child watch some of it, if you get Bravo...

We have gone twice. 1st time cat. 1 seats, 2nd time cat. 2 seats, we preferred the cat. 2 seats. We took our 2 boys 6 and 11 at the time and they both loved it.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. My DS8 is an only child and we do this type of thing often ... I think he would probably love it. And, I appreciate the comments about Category 2 tickets.

Does anyone know if you can request specific seats when you buy the tickets? Or how that is handled?

Any more comments are much appreciated. Thanks so much for all the info. :wave2:

YOu can order your tickets on ticketmaster.com or by calling the box office. Either way, you can see what seats are available (or they will tell you). I have been to La Nouba several times and each time sat in a different area. My choice would be category 2, but I don't mind either 1 or 3. In category 1, I agree with someone else that mentioned, you strain your neck all night long trying to look up at the stuff going on. But there are things on stage also that you get a great view of. Category 3 are just fine too, and it is definitely an intimate room.

Cirque was one of the (many) highlights of the trip for us. Assuming it is there when we are able to return (within 2 years), we will certainly be seeing it again.

If you can get cat 2 seats in row EE in section 204 they are the very best value in the house - great view at cat 2 price. However, I think the best view comes from row H. You are back just far enough that the high wire, aerial cradle, aerial ballet and trapeze acts don't require major strain on the neck, yet close enough to catch the expressions of les cons, green bird, the walker and other characters. The power track / trampoline act is more impressive from the lower section.

Our 8 year old daughter is absolutely caught up in La Nouba right now. She'd watch it every night live if she could. She watches parts of the DVD just about every day. She's been captivated by live performances for a long time. She's a highly active "get dirty" type of kid for whom sitting still has always been a challenge. However, there are some shows that just grip her to her seat and La Nouba is one of them.

ANSWERS
1&2) Really any seat is good! No need for the more expensive ones.

3) I dont think this show is for younger children. Not that there is anything bad in it...They just wont enjoy it. Took my 11 year old nephew, last year...and he is still complaining how bad it was.

I thought it was GREAT!

Don't go through tickemaster.

I called Disney directly, and they were able to look up specific seats. I knew exactly which seats I wanted, and got them.

The La Nouba tickets are very cool by the way...they're actually a card with a magnetic stripe.

Yes, call Disney direct because they can give you specific seats.

My family likes to be close. They like to see their faces. I like being back a bit.
