I have always wanted to go see this show...but never had the funds to do it.

This year we have the extra money...but just wonder if the show is worth the price? :confused3

For Me, DW, DS12, and DS7 to go it will cost roughly $300. :scared1:

That's allot of cash to drop on an hour and a half show.

DH and I went before we had kids and for two adults - IT WAS SO WORTH IT :-)

The show was spectacular, and while very pricey, we thought it was worthy every penny for a special night for the 2 of us. We always say how glad we were to have gone before DD was born.

I would think with a 7 and 12 year old, you just might not get your bang for the buck. I suppose it all depends on your kids, but as amazing as the show was, and there were many kids there, I just don't think they'd fully appreciate it for the price. I think there are a lot of other things you could do with the $300 that they'd like better. Again, you know your children and their interests best, but we found it to be much more adult oriented. If you are planning on taking them along because you and DW really want to do it, then that's one thing, but if you are going for THEM, I'd wait a little longer.

Another thought would be to put them in a kids club/babysitter and you and dw to go and enjoy (sorry, I'm not sure of the ages of the kids clubs, so I'm not sure if your 12yo would be too old or not).

I hope this helps a little, and I'm sure that others with kids similar ages can be of more help!

:clown: We never thought our kids would be interested in Cirque du Soleil, but we were VERY wrong. Last year, we took the kids to 2 of the Party for the Senses dinners at Epcot during the F&W Festival. The entertainment there is La Nouba. OMG...the kids went crazy over it! DD13 and DS15 thought it was fantastic! I would not hesitate to go to the actual show after getting that small taste! Go for it!

It was the highlight of our trip last year! I always wanted to go, but thought it was so expensive. Last year we had a little extra, so we splurged. We all loved it!

It is so worth it if you have the money to do it. It is probably the best Cirque du Soleil show I have seen besides O in Las Vegas.

ABSOLUTELY! La Nouba is definitely worth the funds. I have seen the show twice and when we go in June it will be our third show. *excited*. It will be a magical memory you and your family will keep with you your entire lives. Enjoy!:clown: :jester:

If you ever find yourself in Vegas again and are looking for a good show to see (Cirque du Soleil), I'd highly recommend Mystere (since you enjoyed O). We saw it at TI and it was also a great experience. I don't think you can go wrong with any Cirque show. But that is JMO. :jumping3:

I took my seven year old and he had a wonderful time. I definitely wouldn't take a younger child: they just wouldn't appreciate it. He was talking about it for the rest of the trip!

We went in August. Youngest DD was 7, days away from being 8. Older DDs were 11, a couple of weeks from turning 12. We all loved it.

It was a major splurge, but we got a DVC discount and that enabled me to persuade myself that we should go for it.

I guess my thinking is, I have made mistakes that cost that much, like the time my car got towed because I didn't understand the sign correctly. Maybe this would be another mistake. But Cirque gets such raves that I felt that it probably wouldn't be a mistake and we should see it and decide for ourselves.

Throw in another "YES" We have seen shows in Las Vegas, Washington DC and the traveling group on many, many occassion. I would say the WDW show ranks near the top. As with most Disney experiences it is pricey. DW and I attended as a part or her birthday celebration. The children spent the show time across the walk at Disney Quest with grandparents. Everyone got what they wanted. Enjoy!

I have never seen it live, but I did have a comment about kids enjoyment. We watch this on television all the time (so not the same, I know) and my kids (9 & 4) absolutely love it! I can only imagine how much more enchanted they would be to see it in person.

I've been to La Nouba 5 times now - it's EXCELLENT and I highly recommend it.
