Cirque du Soleil in Vegas- **OT**

I'm going to see Love when I'm in Vegas in November for my birthday.

:banana::banana::banana:

I've seen La Nouba and O, and I liked them both. The only problem I had with O was that I was at the late show, and I had to fight to keep myself awake. The music was starting to lull me to sleep. Thankfully, I managed to stay awake, and I enjoyed what I saw. I really liked their "boat" contraption for a semi-trapeze act.

I'm really excited about going to see Love.

My shows booked for Vegas this trip are:
The Lion King
Love
Bette Midler

I know I'm going to have a fantastic time.

One thing to consider is that the newer the show in Vegas, the more popular it is and the more expensive / harder it will be to get tickets. I believe that Love is the most recent Cirque show in Vegas, but that O is probably the most popular.

For this reason, it might be worth it to see Mystere, which is the oldest Cirque show in Vegas, since it will be much cheaper and easier to get good seats. I have heard mixed reviews of Love and O (many people loved them, others got bored about halfway through) but I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about Mystere.

have a great time! i bet the lion king will be fantastic! and Bette as well.

I've seen Mystere twice and O once. We were going to see Zumanity, but didn't get to on our trip last month. I really liked O for all the unique water features and we had great seats. Mystere is good as well, but I preferred O. I am not a huge Beatles person, so I would pick one of the others over Love, but if you like it, then you will probably love the show.

I've heard the show at the Wynn is great too- it isn't Cirque, but Cirque like i think.

can't wait to hear about them all when you return!

We saw Bette Midler in November.

I was concerned as she doesnt perform John's type of music and he had never seen her live.

He wwas going because I wanted to go so badly.

All I can say is that she does not disappoint in any way, shape or form.

Having seen her shows many times, I had high expectations. All I can say is WOW!!!

As a newbie....John thought she was fantastic.

She combines her amazing energy, songs and humor with an "over the top" Las Vegas style show.....showgirls and all.

The tickets are pricey....but in this case, you get what you pay for.

To sum this up....we liked it.:thumbsup2

We are going in October and have "wet" seats for the O show... I am looking forward to going. We are also going to see Blue Man Group and check out the new Minus 5 Ice bar. :)

Hey Plutes!!!! Who's taking you to all these shows lol
Do you have a fellow I don't know about :))))

Woohoo! I'm happy to get some positive feedback on the Bette Midler show in Vegas.

I remember when I was a kid, back when turntables were still the primary way to hear music at home (heh), my parents had some albums that I'd always want to listen to: Bette Midler and Barry Manilow. And even Allan Sherman (Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah), but that's another story.

The best news is that originally, my friend and I were going to stay 5 nights at Bally's, but we found an insanely good deal for two tickets to the show and a night at Caesar's for $199. That's pretty much the cost we were going to pay for only the tickets, and we're getting a night's stay bundled into it.

Needless to say, I was thrilled by the deal.

I like dancing bananas way too much.:banana::banana:

After listening to the discussion show this past week, I wanted to get some opinions. DH and I are going to Vegas next month and had planned on going to see a Cirque show (sorry Pete). We were thinking of Love but then it sounded like John was giving a shout-out to Mystère. It looks like there are 6 shows to choose from so I wanted to get some opinions from experts - which is the best Cirque show in Vegas?

Hi Im new here but I was reading some posts and thought id reply where I could...Ive been to vegas alot and have seen all the Cirque shows out there. Sorry but they are all better than the one in orlando in my opinion. If you were going to pick just one I would say to definitely go with O at the bellagio. Theres nothing else like it in the world and it blows all the other Cirque shows away. I have also seem Mystere a few times and it is one of my favorite shows but I would say its very similar to the type of show La Nouba is in its setup and style. The beatles one same thing abd I prefer4 the original Cirque music in their shows. The other one that was really great was Ka at MGM where O is all about water Ka is more fire oriented and has a great dragon set piece....still I would say go with O its a show that can only be seen in vegas and you wont be disappointed.
