Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas....which show?

Another vote for O. It was gorgeous and quite unique with the water. Don't sit up front if you don't want splashes!

Mystere is an oldie but goody. And our favorite. We have seen all the others and it remains the best for us. Second is O snd then Love. I also really liked the Michael Jackson one.

We're hoping for "O." We haven't booked yet...been busy with other stuff that has taken precedence. We leave in 2 weeks or so....

Thanks again for all the suggestions!

Is that because you were looking more down on to the water stage?
Yes, because you are up higher and are able to see down into the pool better. Even being higher, they were still great seats and you could see everything happening on/above the stage as well.

Best seating for all Cirque shows is midway up from the stage. Even though they sell the closer seating as premium, with prices to match, much of a Cirque show is high up in the theater. If down close, you are breaking your neck for much of the show, looking up. Midway is the best, and recommended my the far majority of Cirque attendees.

Enjoy.

Sections 202, 203 and 204 are great. Sections 102 and 104 should be the same price as 202-204, but down too close to the stage.

The last time I was in Vegas (for an international convention) one of our vendors hosted us at O in row 2 of section 104. I’m sure the seats cost a fortune but it was absolute misery.

We saw Zumanity it’s something! Very naughty! But it was incredible. Much more intimate setting, unique performance.

Yes, those higher up seats are the best for most any Cirque show. For La Nouba, I was in the very last row once, with my daughter and her kids, it was great!

Sore neck? From looking up?

Also consider the Blue Man Show and Jabbawokeez! Magic shows can be awesome too. Not so much a fan of Chris Angel, Copperfield was good, but Penn and Teller was a riot! Mark Savard the comedy hypnosis was BRILLIANT and only costs peanuts, WELL worth doing, even on top of the main event, it's so cheap!

Is Hot Tix still a thing? A few years back we went to the Tix booth (day of sales only) and got great "cheap" seats.

It's been awhile since we've been to LV but we saw Mystere and really enjoyed it. We try to go to all the traveling Cirques when they come to town. We've seen OVO and Kurios, loved them both. I know that we have seen a third one but can't remember the name.

I agree with sitting higher up in the theater, you can see so much more that way.

OVO is going to be in my city soon, right when the parents are visiting. Thinking of taking them. Any recommendations for seating?

Agree on Blue Man Group, although for us it is a one time only show.

Your post got me thinking about old shows we had seen. Danny Gans at the Mirage was my favorite. So talented and funny. I didn't remember he had OD'd until I just googled him :(

We also used to see the old school showgirl performances. Jubilee at Ballys is all that is left.

Phantom at the Venetian was fun, too. Very Vegasized lol.

We have gone 20+ times and have so many memories. Good and bad.

Sorry OP, didn't mean to hijack, but saw you are planning on O. Awesome!!

If it's in the big top, I would not sit on the sides. While there is really not a terribly bad seat in the big top, you can see what is going on better in the middle. There are also a couple of poles that might block a little of your view depending on where you sit. I've never sat close to the stage in the big top but I think that the closest I would want to sit is on the back row of the first middle section. I prefer the middle section of the second tier of seats on an end seat or the end seats of the section next to the middle section. I have crowd issues and don't like to sit in the middle of a row. Characters do interact with the audience and you never know who is going to show up in the aisles.

I tried to post a link of the inside of the Big Top with no success. When you are choosing your seats, a picture of your view should come up.

No worries!!! All the comments are helpful! We've seen Blue Man Group in NYC. I know it's a different show, but my 81 year old father will be coming with us, and he requested Cirque.

Zumanity was a riot! NOT for young ones though!

Terry Fator is another cheap one to see. Funny as heck, only costs a few bucks, you get more bang for your dollar that way, being able to see it ON TOP OF a more expensive Cirque show on its own.

Le Reve is AWESOME!

If you can afford it, go for an elite seat, dead comfy, no-one spilling cola over your lap. Hypnotic. Not strictly a Cirque, but in the same vein :)

I'm finally getting around to booking tickets. "O" is available the night we get there (Sunday), closed on Monday and Tuesday. I leave on Wednesday. The 7:00 show is available, but it will be our travel day and it will feel like 9:00 at night. I just don't think I want to push it that day.

Monday is Ka, Mad Apple, and Michael Jackson (of which I have no interest).

Tuesday is Ka and Mad Apple.

I need to go read the descriptions of the shows. Do the storylines make any sense? Or are the storylines superfluous?

Thanks!

I've seen KA twice. Amazing!

Storyline? In Cirque? There are storyline to Cirque shows, but I sure never make them out unless I read it, either before or after. I'm there for the show.
