Hi, can anyone help!!!! DH & I would really like to do Cirque Du Soleil this Oct, I know my DD6 will love it, but what about my football (soccer!!!) loving DS5???

He can sit through 90 minutes of football oops Soccer (sorry I'm a Brit) but has anyone out there taken boys of this age to Cirque! Will he be bored???

I would really appreciate your views as this will probably be our last trip to WDW for the forseeable future, and we are going to try and do all the things we havn't done in our last few trips. TIA

Just an idea that you can get a video of it first and see if your kids are interested in seeing it in person. Our DS(3) loves it, but I think that he's too young to keep quiet in public for that long! I think my DH ordered it off of Amazon.
Good luck!

My youngest was 6 when we saw it and was awestruck just like the rest of us! We all loved it so much the time just flew. The show is very fast paced, we saw lots of little ones there. I guess it depends on the child. We met one family at our hotel who said their dd slept through it.....most expensive nap on the planet!

My son first saw it when he was 5 yrs old. The whole time he sat there and didn't say one word! He loved it!!!

We also saw a traveling Cirque show and again loved it.

We are heading back to WDW this October and we already have our tickets. My son will be 7 yrs old then and he requested to see it again.

I say take him!! It is not boring :)

We have been to this show and found it just amazing and could see the little ones with the faces glued to the stage, I truly think your son will be the same, there is so much going on at the same time on the stage that they won't know where to look first or next. Enjoy the show..

We've seen four cirque shows with our son. He is not a soccer(sorry, football) kid. He's A little more arty(we"re actors) but he has loved it since he was 2 1/2. It is amazing, and he will probably love it.

We took our son last summer and he was 5 1/2. He liked it a lot. He only got antsy during one of the acts, and I kinda did too, but it was my second time seeing it.

It is totally amazing. :)

The first time my son saw it was when he was 5. He loved it! He was entranced the entire time. We followed up with a traveling Cirque show when he turned 6. Although we are returning to WDW in June, we will not be seeing Cirque a 2nd time....because we'll be seeing another travelling Cirque Show two weeks after our return!

As for his nature....he's definitely active and it's hard for him to sit still if bored.

I'd encourage you to go. Have a great time!

We went to Cirque at DD last week...there were some, but not a lot, of small children. I agree that it probably depends on the child. The show is mindboggling, even a bit creepy at the beginning. My only thought is that you should be prepared to take children out of the theater if they get antsy and start making noise that will disturb the audience and the performers. It is an absolutely fantastic production and worth every penny.

When we went last week there was a family with 2 boys (probably 4 and 6) right behind us. They didn't understand the show and were loud and kicking our seats. They kept asking why the performers were doing something. The family ended up leaving half way through the show. I guess you know your kids better than anyone else but there are kids who don't do well at the show.... I thought it was fantastic though!

Appreciate all the feedback :thumbsup2
I know DD6 will love the show :cheer2: but still not 100% sure about DS5 :confused3 He will sit quietly for a 90 minute movie or soccer match. I guess only DH and I can make the call whether he can do the same for Cirque.

Our 3 week trip is a surprise for the kids (they'll find out on the way to the airport) but we may show them a DVD of a Cirque show to see their reaction without giving the surprise away.

Thanks again
