We are going to WDW in Jan. 2004. We are doing this on a budget but would like a have a couple of splurges, one of which is either Cirque or a dinner show. Which would you recommend?

A decision may have already been made for you. CHeck on Cirque tickets they may already be booked. If not I can't really help. We've done Hoop-Dee-Do and loved it. Everyone in our group did, 5 kids ages 4-10 and all adults. We'll do this again in the future, probably next October. We are going to Cirque this December. I could let you know then but, I'm afraid, it will be to late.

My DD12 and I saw all the dinner shows +Cirque. I have seen several of the Cirque shows and have never been disappointed however for the little ones- the show may be a tad sophisticated. Our favorite show was the Spirit of Aloha. Wonderful food- and the show embodies what I love about Disney- a family atmosphere- variety of comedy, music, talent and a warm magical theme throughout. I highly recommend this show- Hoop Dee Doo while fun- is fairly corny (maybe the little ones will laugh-and I enjoyed the show) however with only one show to see The Spirit of Aloha is my first choice.

If you're a group of adults only, I'd definitely recommend Cirque, especially if you've never seen one of their shows. I know lots of small kids enjoy it too, but it's a pricey ticket in the event that they do not.

But I'd vote for the Hoop De Doo as a great evening's entertainment for a family! Haven't seen the Spirit of Aloha (although we enjoyed the old Polynesian Revue) but have heard others say they enjoyed it as well.

We'll be attending Cirque show for the first time next Thurs, Oct 16 (me, DH and DD 7)! Can't wait!!!

We've done Hoop de Doo several times and always enjoy it!!

I'll be sure to post a report on this show - and how my DD liked it!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! We are 3 adults so decided on Cirque. Just surprised my daughter with the news, she was thrilled. She's always wanted to see Cirque. Who knew???

Bought tickets yesterday for 2nd week in Jan 2004 and got front row seats....I can't wait.

I've seen both Cirque and HoopDeeDoo twice; HDD was cute I guess, but Cirque is AWESOME! No contest at all, IMHO---go to Cirque! BTW, my small children were mesmerized by Cirque, but didn't get too excited by HDD--lots of the jokes went right over their heads. But Cirque's amazing visuals really held their attention.
