Heading down the end of next month and DH & I are hosting my BIL. He has few wants food wise, other than Sanaa & Brown Derby ressie that I already obtained. The one thing he asked about was a big cinnamon roll. I know Gaston has one which alot of people rave about but I've also heard that it can be dry & needs the extra cup of icing that you can order. I've noticed that there are a number of Mickey cinnamon rolls in the various park but am wondering if those are all the same. I would appreciate any opinions on one's you've tried.

The one in my avatar photo is the famous one, which they stopped selling years ago. It used to be at the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom.

If you don't get replies, you can go into the My Disney Experience app. Tap on the search icon at the bottom of the screen (looks like a magnifying glass). As your search term, type in: cinnamon. It shows lots of places that are supposed to have them.

Also, you can search here on the Dis for threads which have cinnamon in the title.

I think Kusafiri at Animal Kingdom park has the Colossal one.

Best cinnamon rolls we ever had hands down were at the Garden Grill breakfast at Epcot. They are served in a skillet - warm and amazing. It was years ago and I still remember them to this day!

The best cinnamon roll I have had a Disneyworld was at Gaston's. It was warm and gooey and delicious. I didn't find it dry at all.

I was under the impression this was gone, sadly.

Unless I'm not remembering one, your options are going to primarily boil down to Gastons and the Mickey cinnamon roll they sell at Starbucks locations. The Mickey one is terrible. The Gastons one is hit or miss.

There may be options at resorts I'm not privy to.

It’s more of a cinnamon pull apart bread/monkey bread now. No frosting. Not as good as it used to be. The menu says pastries. I guess that’s if they have supply or personnel issues. It’s usual the cinnamon bread though.

Gaston's changed a few years ago, and it's sadly not as good anymore. They used to be massive. Main St Bakery also still has a cinnamon roll, but it's smaller.

Roaring Fork at Wilderness Lodge has a blueberry cinnamon roll and some other hot baked items. The bear claw is huge.

The Mr loves cinnamon rolls, just not any icing

Yes, if well executed, you really don't need it

Wondering if any sites can prepare without it? Maybe main st bakery?

Joffrey stations have cinnamon rolls that are fantastic. Much better than any of the Mickey shaped ones IMHO. Better to go early in the day because they run out. Gaston’s is the best on property followed up by roaring fork at WL.

Not very good, compared to Gaston's it is inferior. Haven't had the one at WL but it seems close to what Gaston's is.

Haven't found an ooey-gooey cinnamon rich one yet.

For the record I do not seek out cinnamon buns.
I did have one last year at GF which was the same as the one I had this year with the exception of the Mickey ears and huge increase in price. It seems most places sell the huge aka Mickey ears one for 7.49…. By far not worth the cost as it is just an average pre made one. This was no different in taste then the one last year but it did not have the Mickey ears and was 4 something. The 4 something was OK the 7.49 price tag made it disappointing.

awwww that's a bummer. they were sooo good my family still talks about them to this day!

The cinnamon rolls (they might have had or even do have colossal in the name?) at the Starbucks at AK USED to be absolutely delicious. They were different from any other Starbucks and any other roll on property - Mickey shaped but with a caramel AND icing drizzle and they were neither too dry or too gooey or covered in inedible wodges of icing (can you tell I know my way around a cinnamon rolls?)
My family usually shares stuff but we would each happily get one of these for breakfast. Trust Disney to mess these up by changing them - I think they’re standard, across-the-board Disney/Starbuck cinnamon rolls now - Mickey shaped but dry and sad. We were so sad to each have to snarf a full one down 👎🏽
