Cingular coverage

How is cingular cell phone coverage at WDW? Thanks.

I have cingular service and I loved being able to call my friends and family from in front of the castle and from the balcony at CR on my last trip. No problem whatsoever from Fla. to the Northeast. and No phone bill on check out. One year I got hit with over a $100.00 bill from the hotel on just a few phone calls back home. Learned my lesson to never pick up that phone in the room and make any calls. I would check with cingular to make sure though before you leave and dont forget to pack the charger!

I also have cingular and have never had problems with making phone calls when outside. The phones do not get service inside any of the attractions and inside some of the resorts.
Make sure you have roaming so you don't get hit with long distance bills, which I did my first trip. I changed that quickly and now my coverage is the entire US with the exception of Hawaii of course. Peggie

I had no problem with my Cingular phone in Disney. The Orlando area is in its service area, too. So no roaming. It went into roaming near Universal, tho, but for a short time.

We didn't have any problems either in WDW or Universal w/Cingular. The only thing was, and this happens to me even locally, is when we were inside of rides-depending on the roof of the building-there wasn't real good reception. We would just go outside or while we were in lines outside waiting is when we'd do our calling.

oh yeah, they don't work in elevators either.... but that goes for anywhere!

Great coverage with our Cingular. I even called DH in his office from the top of Splash Mountain once so he could hear "How da you do?" (Yes I was rubbing it in....we were there and he wasn't!!!)

My cingular phone works better in WDW than it does in my home town!
