We are visiting Universal & IOA on October 29 & 30 October 2012, and trying to plan days/mights to see as much as possible.

On 29 & 30 is NON horror nights, and park hours show that universal closes at 6pm on both days - However, on these dates it does not get dark until about 7pm,

So how will the Cinematic Spectacular work in daylight?. I did think that maybe it wouldn't be on during horror night season, but looking online the Universal site states the following, indicating it will be on on the Oct 29 & 30

From Universal Website:
Universal's Cinematic Spectacular will not take place on the following dates: 9/6 - 9/8, 9/19, 9/21 - 9/22, 9/27 - 9/30, 10/4 - 10/7, 10/11 - 10/14, 10/17 - 10/21, 10/24 - 10/28, 10/31, 11/15, 12/5.

Anyone have any ideas?

byt the scheduled close of park is 6pm?
Doesn't matter...they will often have events after park hours. No one else can enter after 6pm but those in the park can stay until the show is over.

I don't think they're going to let people stay an hour into HHN without an HHN ticket to watch this show.

Sorry maybe i wasnt clear

Oct 29 is a regular park day (no Halloween event) and park closes at 6pm (when it is still light) but they have advertised a Cinematic Evening show running on this day which will require it to be dark??? (ie 7;30pm)

Sureley they aren't gong to expect everyone to stand around twiddling their fingers between 6 & 7;30pm with nothing open?

Yeah, that is not gonna happen.

I guess we'll all have to wait until the show times are announced.
