Which is better for teen girls for dinner(not picky about food)? Cinderella Castle or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall? :confused3

Being in the Castle is magical, we have done both and would probable not go back to Norway Dinner, just not our type of food. We had such a magical time at castle, its all about castle for us!

Akersush for us - more princesses! To me it did not seem as crowded - my only guess is that b/c it's not as popular? And the food was good too, lots of variety and we loved the cold bar. :) JMO

We have done CRT numerous times and last trip we did both. This upcoming trip we are doing both again.
CRT is more expensive if that is a factor. If we had to choose, our oldest is 12, we would take CRT over Aker. She is not into the full dress up anymore, but is all about dining in the castle.....as are we. Great experience for all ages.

Enjoy!

CRT is worth doing once just for the extra "Magic" factor of eating inside the castle. I think the food quality is a bit iffy which is why I wouldn't go back there personally for that price, but again it is still worth checking out at least once.

People have been saying that they are changing things around as far as characters go and it will be all princesses all the time.

I have never been to Akershus but I am taking my girlfriend there in May.

We would pick CRT as our choice but remember that at dinner all the princesses are not there... Cinderella is downstairs for photos but upstairs its the Fairy Godmother and the mice and they do a little show.... if you want to see the Princesses at CRT you will need to go for breakfast... which I highly recommend... its yummy!!!

We have done both and like both. However the castle is so magical and not many people get to eat in the castle! :)

I think I saw a note on dis that this is no longer true - princess at CRT even for dinner - correct? No more fairy godmother . . .

That is what I read also. We have been to neither, but will be doing both on our upcoming trip. We will do the castle dinner right after my DD3 gets 'the works' at BBB in the castle, then the next morning will be breakfast at Akershus. I thought the breakfast at Akershus would be more 'americanized' for the kids as opposed to the dinner there.

We've done both, and Akershus had better food and we enjoyed the interaction more. However, every princess deserves to dine in the castle at least once in her life.

We've only done Norway for dinner and enjoyed the food very much. The service was good and the wait staff very nice. My son was not yet 3 and we were on the DDP and because of his age he wasn't and we knew he had to share with us or if we ordered him something we'd pay OP. They asked for his order, we told them he wasn't on the plan and they were like he can get a meal and we ordered him a hot dog and weren't charged.

The restaurant was a bit dark I felt. We had our picture taken with Belle and we got the prints as part of the meal charge - no extra cost. And they did a nice job singing happy birthday to my son (in Norwiegen). My biggest comment is that the princesses seemed bizarre to me. I found them to be too over the top, they were almost bug eyed and somewhat odd. I have a son and don't spend much time with the princesses, so maybe this is how they are - a bit over the top. I'm not sure.

As far as a dining experiecne - we enjoyed the food very much. As far as pricing, it's a better value then CRT as it's only 1 credit on DDP. As far as the princess experience - I can't say either way. I do know if you're a fan of other princesses beside Cinderella, this is the place to go as we met Belle, Aerial, Snow White & Princess Auroa. My niece is a BIG Aerial fan so this is a place they want to go when they go in June as I don't think Aerial is at CRT.
