Cindy's Dinner - worth it?

Hi all,

We are considering doing dinner in the castle for our honeymoon. We've been told it's very romantic and you can see the fireworks from there too...is that true??

HELP! I'd like to call as soon as I can.

I tried to get a seating for around the time of the fireworks to no avail..

We ate around 6pm for our 25th anniversary.. it was pretty nifty! We're not drinkers .. so we didn't miss that. The food was WONDERFUL.. we were seated by a window .. it looked out toward the back.. which was ok too.

I'd put our anniversary on the PRS.. or whatever they call it now.. laugh.. I hadn't told my husband so he was amazed when we were seated and the table was decorated with ribbons and little micky head confetti.. laugh.. The food was delicious.. as were the desserts.. tho if we had it to do over again we'd share a dessert .. they were enourmous.. we ended up taking most of them with us.. and then not eating them.. I was STUFFED until the next day.

I wouldn't call it ROMANTIC really - but it was fairly intimate w/a table by the window.. and pleasant. Besides we ate in the CASTLE .. it was fun!! Really a nice time for us!

We love eating at the castle for dinner. When they have the fireworks they lower the lights and play the fireworks music. If you can score a window seat you can see some of the fireworks, although not all. The food is good at this restuarant and it is in the center of everything. Tell them it is our anniversary and they will usually get you a great table.

Unfortunately, there's no seating available at all during our 11 day stay! Oh well... I'll call every day to see if there's a cancellation

do not give up. You can call even while you are there and try and get a ADR. Both trips in July now, I have gotten The Breakfast because some people cancel within that 24hr to 48 hr. window to get their deposit back.

Right now we have a reservation on the 3rd for California Grill...but quite frankly, I'm not too excited about it,nor do i like their menu!!
So for 2 credits, I'd prefer the Castle... I may cancel the CG cause it might not be worth it for us!

CG is excellent We ate there for the first time 2 weeks ago ~~ had a window table with a wonderful view of Wishes. Their menu changes often to reflect what is 'market fresh', so there may very well be some different offerings when you go in October.
I took my daughter & her boyfriend there for her 22nd birthday. Both of them had been at Disney doing the college program since January. Over the course of their time there they had eaten at many of the WDW restaurants, but absolutely nothing compared to the CG for them.
I can't imagine that you could be disappointed there..

I have to say eating at Cindy's is great. We LOVED IT. It's I don't know just special. I really hope you get in. The food was really good but the atmosphere is excellent. I really don't think it can be beat.

I had my 30th birthday here and it was perfect.

However, although we could see the fireworks, we were in the middle of the room so it wasn't a great view. It didn't seem possible to reserve a table by the window.
